at the book of Job, again, just as a humble reminder that
freedom & responsibility do walk Universally hand-in-hand.
I know, that's easy to say from the comfort and safety of
our modern-day homes and offices in which many of us live
better than the wealthiest kings of old ever dreamt about!
I know it's easy to forget the eternal things, when faced
with the temporal things, even the Grim Reaper, with whom
there is no bargaining. Thus is why I say humble reminder...

The point being, that every mortal human being has lived
in grave danger of indulging the world's temptations ever
since the Adamic Fall--some ages of ages ago. Perhaps the
greatest deception of all is that of the ego-self: anyone
who thinks "I could never be like that", "I could never do
that", etc., they're unwittingly deceiving themselves. For,
as the world's bloody history testifies, just about any man
can be tempted into all manner of sins and its unforgivable
blasphemies if they're not very, I mean God-damned, careful.
