I became a Buddhist, after the butchery in Vietnam. Never looked back.
Lord Buddha never commanded anyone to harm another. Nor did the
Christ, but the American fanatics apparently never read their
own User Manual - "The New Testament."

Interesting. I like Buddhiism, but practice no religion. Did you like
Hesse's book "Siddhartha"?

I read Siddhartha while I was in Vietnam. Found it a bit esoteric, like
everything
else Hesse wrote. But good nonetheless.
My knowledge of the philosophy of Buddhism a philosophy rather than a
religion),
was absorbed from people practicing both the Minhyana and Yinhayana
schools
of philosophy. There's even much to learn from the Tibetans. Many would
argue that
Buddhism is the world's oldest scientifci method, studying the natural
laws of cause
and effect, conservation of energy and even they came up with many
concepts that
were proven only recently by developments in physics and medical
science.
Buddhism is a lifetime of learning, not a book of rules and laws. It
took many years
to realize that Christ must have studied Buddhism, because his teaching
are
right out of the teachings Lord Buddha, including Reincarnation. Too
much to be
a coincidence - he never picked it up in a synagogue. In fact, it was
the lawmakers
and tax collectors that nailed the Prince of Peace to the timbers. They
had no
place in their world for a man that said to know God is only possible
by loving
peace, and finding salvation within first, not listening to the
hypcrites. He
was a Buddhist. If he were to return today, he'd find that little has
changed
from that day in Galgotha.
