If China chooses to act on the oppurtunity that the USA is sending troops
from northwest pacific.
Why would the Chinese stop at the south Korean border.
Or otherwise, a nice threat/trade to Korea would be most welcome when taking
Taiwan.

Good theorizing, Michael -- but America may see it as a threat to S
Korea and Japan -- and launch a counter-strike....
Either way -- it's gonna be a bloody mess when it happens....
Better start dustin' off the ol' fallout shelter -- and stock up on
plenty of food and water, Michael !

I think China and the U.S. may come to an understanding over N.Korea.
N.Korea's leadership is too unstable ( mentally not politically ) for either
the U.S. or China. Allowing them to possess nukes is in neither of their
best interests. Economic ties between the U.S. and China are expanding.
China has a huge market potential and it's in both of their best interests
not to threaten that.
There is a possibility for an unwritten understanding on 'spheres of
interest'. And N.Korea may fall within China's.

I'm sure N.Korea realizes this. I see one of two things happenin:
1. N.Korea says ***** it,lets let loose and see what happens
2. N.Korea is bluffing and will soon give up their nukes.
