Sorry to dis-agree with you, but you are off by a few years.
Jesus is assumed to have been born in 3 AD (and lived for atleast 30+
years - as per
the Bible). So where do you get the "Over 2000 years ago ...."
If you are going to 'Preach' about Christianity, atleast get the facts
straight.

Most scholars put Jesus' birth between 7 BC and 3 BC and his crucifiction at
age 33.
I also find it interesting that we celebrate his birth on a fixed day based
on the Gregorian colander (used throughout the world), but his crucifixion
and resurrection on a calendar based on a combination of lunar and solar
cycles.
