The daily horoscope for Tuesday November 7, 2006 AD is
verily benefic for the Victors--& still reigning G.O.P.
champions of the world,--our glorious Republican party
who rule America and lead the world under God Almighty.

Waning Moon, Hekate, she is ruling 4; glorious Mars is
ruling 8; Emperor Jupiter ruling 9 Dominates eternally;
head of the Dragon 1, Lilith 7, Satan 6, phokoS in the
World; the sapient by letters, M, 12; ouranos for Ares;

Venus splits the fall equally with Mercury, separating
in close orb <1 degree, both near angular-equidistance
between Jupiter & Mars, from conjunction ~11:51 AM EST.

Mars transits between predominant rulership 8 & lesser
rulership 1, Saturn ruling more 10 than 11, and verily
so, before another transit of Mars to 8, about 7:32 PM.
At the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. (near
77W00:32; 38N53:24), waning moon rises on the Scorpian
Ascendant about 6:51 PM EST (lunar phase is about 92%).

Remember, Deus exalts in Cancer, according to Artemis'

because dignity and honor, keeping thy vows, is honor
and dignity which the Liberal Atheists know nothing of
on their own, so must be REMINDED of from time to time. :-D

At this point, Wally, the dems have control of the House of Representatives.
I believe at this point they're up by 19 seats. ABC News is projecting a
28 - 36 seat gain by the time all votes are counted giving the Dems a
comfortable margin. With those numbers it would be easy to make the case
that the election is a repudiation of the Bush Administration and the
current Republican leadership.
The count in the Senate has the Republicans up 49 - 48 seats with 3
contests remaining to be decided. The NY Times just declared a Republican
win in Tennessee. They're also reporting Jim Webb the Democrat ahead by
2300 votes with 100% of all precincts in Virginia reporting. Two races
still being counted and yet to be called. Montana where the Democrat leads
with 29% of precincts reporting. Missouri where the Republican leads by
50,000 votes and 69% reporting but I understand the areas around St. Louis
are slow to come in. They say these areas are more likely to vote
Democratic. It's still up in the air. If the numbers in Virginia hold up
there could be a tie in the Senate or one party gaining control by 1 seat.

I caution against such optimism. Clearly there's been a

As of this moment it's 49 - 49, with the Republicans down
in Virginia, but a re-count promised.

Montana where the Democrat leads with 29% of precincts
reporting. Missouri where the Republican leads by 50,000
votes and 69% reporting

They've already called Missouri for the Democrats.
Montana is past 65% of the votes counted, with the
Democrat leading by four points.

I've tried to avoid optimisim. The result as of this posting last night
showed a strong rejection of the Republicans regardless of how all the races
turned out. No optimism, just the facts.

It was a back-lash alright... a very angry electorate overall.
At this point, the House goes to the democrats (with larger
majority than republicans had previously), the dems held onto
all their Senate seats and won definitely 4 and probably 5
more (the inside straight they needed to control the Senate).
I think we can breathe a sigh of relief John. The timing of
the Rumsfeld dismissal is interesting. More than just stealing
the spotlight, I think the Bush camp knows that investigations
and document subpoenas are coming, and Rumsfeld is going to
be a primary target. The republican shredding machines may
be working double-time for the next few weeks.

That's good to hear, but unfortunately Bush has put us in a
position where there are NO good solutions, just a few distasteful
alternatives. What the hell were they thinking about ? Invade and
occupy a country, set up a stooge government, in the hopes that
democracy will spring forth ? History is replete with examples
of this sort of thing just not working. Oh yeah, I forgot, we
were going to secure the WMD !

I may say this too many times. If you get a chance listen to or read Rahm
Emanuel discuss the lead up to these last elections, do so. He started out
in politics working for Jon Anderson, then Richie Daley in Chicago, then a
young governor from Arkansas. Even had a character on "The West Wing"
patterned after him. Very smart, competent and savvy gentleman. Very
refreshing after watching an intellectual dyslexic run the show in
Washington for the last six years.

I am in absolute awe of Rahm Emanuel's strategy for this election.
There is hope for my Democratic Party after all!
[excerpt] Party politics will be shaped by the resurgence of "Blue Dog"
Democrats, who come mainly from the South and from rural districts in
the Midwest and often vote like Republicans. Top Democrats such as Rep.
Rahm Emanuel (Ill.) see these middle-of-the-road lawmakers as the
future of the party in a nation that leans slightly right of center.
In private talks before the election, Emanuel and other top Democrats
told their members they cannot allow the party's liberal wing to
dominate the agenda next year. Democrats will hold 30 or 35 seats that
went for Bush in the past, meaning that Democratic candidates such as
Brad Ellsworth in rural Indiana are likely to face competitive races
again in 2008. Still, their interests are likely to collide with those
of veteran liberals such as Reps. Henry A. Waxman (Calif.) and John
Conyers Jr., (Mich.), who will chair committees. [end excerpt]

The Democrat just took the lead in Missouri with 20% of the vote yet to be
counted.
The Democrat in Montana is widening his lead with 44% of the vote in.

The daily horoscope for Tuesday November 7, 2006 AD is
verily benefic for the Victors--& still reigning G.O.P.
champions of the world,--our glorious Republican party
who rule America and lead the world under God Almighty.

Waning Moon, Hekate, she is ruling 4; glorious Mars is
ruling 8; Emperor Jupiter ruling 9 Dominates eternally;
head of the Dragon 1, Lilith 7, Satan 6, phokoS in the
World; the sapient by letters, M, 12; ouranos for Ares;

Commandment to "Honor thy father and thy mother", etc.
because dignity and honor, keeping thy vows, is honor
and dignity which the Liberal Atheists know nothing of
on their own, so must be REMINDED of from time to time. :-D

Right, you bet. Pelosi is packing up her furniture to move to
Hastert's
office as I type. Nice try... next.

She was probably picking out the new drapes a few weeks ago.
