If I were an Iraqi looking into the eyes of a nineteen year old, I'd feel
compassion for him if he looks unsure of himself and scared. On the other
hand, if he looked like a hungry predator, I'd look at him with pity. If I
were witness to the atrocity, I would pray for the soul of the dead soldier,
knowing that he's not feeling anything. What's a dead body? It's a
carcass. It is the hate that is is hurtful, not the descreation itself. Is
that hate deserving? How do the parents, the kids of the desecrated
soldier feel? Do they hate the Iraqis who did it, or their President who
sent them there? Where is the God of Justice? Why is there so much Hate

Or so you say from the comfort of your easy chair; yo, knucklehead, "we've"

Violence begets violence. It's a viscious circle.

The Iraqis have been trying to make peace with the U.S. for years, whereas
the U.S. has been making and trying to make war on Iraq for years.
Iraqis now have nothing to loose and everything to gain by fighting back, as
viciously as they can, whereas the U.S. has everything to lose and nothing
to gain.

What do you mean by "the Iraqis"? They are people, just like you and me.
Nobody tells them what to do. Like people everywhere, there are evil people
and good people. There are sadists and there are pacifists.
You can't classify them as having a certain universal hatred towards the
American soldier. The majority of American people are not for war, I
think. But then, the silent majority is just that. Silent. Too busy
watching TV from the comfort of their couch, as if the real world and real
suffering of peoples didn't exist. That is their mortal sin.

I was actually referring to the "U.S.".

The U.S. is not cowardly. On the contrary, they are proud, arrogant and
callous. That's what their problem is. Too sure of themselves. Just
listen to Rumsfeld and Bush talk. "We will shock and awe them." It's
innocent human lives there were talking about. Is that how Mr. John Q.
Public feels deep down? Yet when someone like Michael Moore speaks up, what
happens? Maybe you have a point. A coward is someone who hides from
facing the music when the Piper comes calling.

They didn't want to be there but they

Now you're becoming even more incoherent.

You said: "to die a meaningless death for the sake of an evil bloody
empire." I agree because it has been amply established that it was in no
way a campaign of self-defence against any imminent danger, not pre-emptive
defense against any possible danger, as if that was even legitimate under
international rules of engagement. What I'm saying is, the enlistees, when
they signed up, did so with honorable intentions. Typically, an enlistee
is someone who likes the respectability of wearing the Uniform. It is a
respectable job, given the choices available to him otherwise. They get to
work out, discipline themselves, stay out of trouble, be part of something
special, play with guns, get a free education, see the world, etc. They did
not bargain for being sitting ducks, having their corpses desecrated, coming
home with DU syndromes, not understanding just what they're doing and how it
relates to the security of their homeland.

"Don't hold that weapon unless you mean to use it. Or it will be used
against you."

Huh?

Don't become a cop if you don't want to be killed in the line of duty.
