It's great GWB is speaking a "green" agenda with tons of yur tax dollars
being earmarked for
new technologies to reduce reliance on foreign oil. and efficient use of
fossil fuels and ethanol.

It is funny, given GW & Family's long-standing big oil
connections. And I know it's all just politics, but the
powers that be in Washington by now realize that there's
gonna be _major_ changes in the international landscape,
and all the former advantages of keeping America heavily
dependent on foreign oil are rapidly--fast--evaporating.
The leverage that the big oil companies in America used
to wield over Capitol Hill are similarly fading away,
knowing that another "9/11" with WMDs would overshadow
any possible financial benefits the oil companies could
throw at the politicians or the military. It's be nuke
cruise missiles next time we retalliate against enemy
targets in the radical Jihadist regions of the world,
and that'll change the whole energy production equation,
not to mention transforming the economies of the world.
