world ending in 1999, but I must have missed that :(
It could be that individuals live in a universe created by their
consciousness, and the world did end for some.

Keep your fingers crossed... it will all be over soon enough
(you could die in a car wreck tomorrow).

Actually, I believe what they claim about his end of
the world prediction, was 3997 A.D.. Plenty of time
left. :)

Let that be a lesson to you, taking bad advice.
But if you consider Mr Nostradamus could see the future, then he was a
poet historian and talked of folk accordingly, now if some
Millenenialist folk decide every thing stops at midnight and think
things are neat and Black and white, and because Nostradamus uses the
date 1999 as a date for one of his rhymes so it must add up Jesus will
be here at Dawn to save all those dumb lost souls who hope by wearing
his T shirt they are part of the club, and will despite evidence to the
contrary be whisked A la Star Trek off to the promised land, for a one
on one with the BIG guy.
So just let us say 1999 was the year the debt paying king to power On a
Jet plane you know the Babe Ruth of Battle, probably Mr Jordan to you.
