FYI. Revelation 13:17,18 tells us it is the number in his name.
So it is more at the antichrist and once you have his name or their name
you will also have the beast government it is referring to.
so the 666 is a number that can be added up in his name.,
All Roman Priest have the same name given to them when hey get ordained.
The Roman Papal government was in power all through out the Dark ages
AKA "The Great Tribulation".

A Summary of the Mark of the Beast Prophecy for those not familiar with
Scripture (with some extra insight)...

NOTE: The mindset is in the forehead, the right hand is also the works of
our hands, the way we think about things and the way we apply ourselves to
these in our thoughts and deeds. The ID chip does not necessarily need to

in the forehead or the right hand. It is the mindset of these that will

God will seal his elect with his mark on [in] their foreheads. This too
