Hmmm? I have an RCA RP5016, what kind of program did you buy for your
computer to hear the EVP's better??? I'm new to this computer way of
putting a digital voice recording of EVP's on a PC.

Apparently, these newer devices ship with software that helps
transfer your recordings to computer. E.g., for your RCA model:

But whatever brand and model you're using, setting it to the
shortest recording time/highest bandwidth is always recommended,
the chain always being only as strong as its weakest link, etc.

There's plenty of freeware, shareware and commercialware audio
editors to choose from. I've been using a very common freeware
program called 'Audacity' (ver. 1.2.3), since you can download
dozens of freeware, third-party plugins, effects, filters, etc.,
which, judiciously applied, can definitely improve the sound of
any audio recording. I've mostly used this program to digitize
and preserve old band and studio tapes from my musician heyday.

For voices recorded on relatively low-quality, telephonic -like
recordings (~11 kHz 8-bit mono), the main thing is minimize any
background noise which may be present on the recording, through
the use of filters, like a "reverse-karaoke" filter, or reverse
"voice-canceller" filter, seeking the diametric opposite result.

But this can be detrimental to raw recordings of EVPs. I always
save the original recordings permanently to CDs. Several times,
I've experimented with tweaking some of my fav' EVP recordings,
but soon decided that they are better left in their raw format.
My human ear is good enough to hear EVPs without any filtering.
Also, the ones I've played back for friends in both the raw and
filtered formats received nearly equal reception. Voices can be
heard on either, and those hearing the recordings can hear them.

It's plain, it's obvious, and only die-hard Atheists refuse to
acknowledge the veritable mountains of physical evidence which
proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that our souls are eternal
and immortal. The good news is, that each Atheist dies someday.
Only then do they see the Light. And they'll assuredly see the
Light -- whether they like it or not! For some it takes awhile...

And since ghost-hunting, psychic readings, psychic detectives,
remote viewing, clairvoyance, astral projection, reincarnation,
all things called "supernatural" and "paranormal": God, Heaven,
Hell, ad infinitum, have become so popular, widely accepted, &
personally practiced around the world; so too EVPs have become
one of the most popular such sciences on the planet, since EVPs
are so effortlessly and frequently captured on audio recordings.

FWIW, I've had pretty good luck capturing EVPs on the little RCA
recorder. Just be sure to keep extra, new batteries on hand, just
in case, since batteries in any kind of device are notorious for
going dead at haunted locations, especially where spirit-people
are super-consciously active in those locations, whether grounded
or in visitation. Batteries, and all mortal creatures, do tend to
get drained of energy where such effective interaction takes place.

I look forward to the day when all things psychic and supernatural
are universally accepted as fact, and become part of the mainstream
curriculum in all public schools, and in all public life in general.
