Would that mob in Fallujah have dared treat the security men of Saddam

the way

they treated those Americans? Would they have danced and shouted, "Death

to

Saddam," as they did "Death to Bush"?

No way. For every one in those TV pictures and photos would now be in an

Iraqi

prison or dead. But they know Americans will not respond that way. Which

raises

a question: Do we have the will to impose a pro-Western "democracy" on

Iraq, no

matter the cost?

If you have to impose it upon them, it's >>not a democracy.

Buchanan isn't exactly known for his >razor-sharp mind though is it?

LOL!!!

Yet another Einstein who would have left Germany and Japan to sink back under
the control of dictators.

Um .... in case you've forgotten your history, Germany and Japan initiated their
situation by attacking other powers. They lost a huge war of their own making.
Not the situation in Iraq.
Besides, the original statement was in regards to the use of the term
"democracy" in the given context.

Wrong.
Saddam Hussein invaded a peaceful and soverign nation, he then proceed to
attack 6 nations in the region with missiles. For these actions his army was
driven from Kuwait and his nation was slapped with harsh sanctions.
A Ceasefire agreement was signed that required certain actions on his part, he
NEVER met these requirements even though we gave him 12 years to do so. Finally
and thankfully his time ran out, and somehow that makes you sad.

Wrong.

Saddam Hussein invaded a peaceful and soverign nation,

Which was part of his own until it was chopped off by the British!

he then proceed to
attack 6 nations in the region with missiles.

Six nations in the region...what six would that be...mind tellin' us?

For these actions his army was
driven from Kuwait and his nation was slapped with harsh sanctions.

A Ceasefire agreement was signed that required certain actions on his

part, he

NEVER met these requirements even though we gave him 12 years to do so.

Yes he did. Just that yankies never believed him. It's been proved now since
there is not a smidgen of WMD in or near Iraq...except what the seppo's have
with them of course.

Finally
and thankfully his time ran out, and somehow that makes you sad.

Tony

You just are too stupid to see the point aren't you Tonyboy?

Not exactly. Kuwait was considered to be part of Iraq by Iraq, and Saddam
essentially asked the US if we had a problem with him taking it back before he
ever entered Kuwait.

A Ceasefire agreement was signed that required certain actions on his part, he
NEVER met these requirements even though we gave him 12 years to do so. Finally

Wrong. I have a problem with wasting time, money and American lives when it's
unnecessary and is likely to do more harm than good. What makes me sad is that
I saw the current situation coming (probably worse to come), and you didn't and
still don't.
