Is it really impossible? I don't think so. We just saw a program about
an island in the Canaries, La Palms< that has a crack running the length
of the island. It has great potential for a large landslide which would
cause the very tsunami the movie shows. Nothing is impossible with God.

Darnit!
I *really* wanted to see that movie today.... saw SOUL PLANE instead and
now I wished I hadn't.
Do you think that can happen? A purple airplane with chrome rims that
spin, bumpin'-jump-action hydraulics and Snoop Dogg as the pilot?
Nahhh!

Oh yeah, you could build one, but it would never get past the FAA, and it
would be too heavy to fly.
The movie is pure science fiction, and has no relation whatsoever to the
Laws of Physics. As for the mention of that dog "Waterworld", there's not
enough ice to flood the entire planet. If every ice cube in the world melted
today, the ocean would only rise about 150 feet. Of course, half of the
world's population lives between sea level and +150 feet, so things might
get more crowded here on the hilltop.

If you're raising your kids for a violent world, Troy would be the
movie. I believe it's R rated for sex and violence, therefore keeping
the kids away from it would be your safest option.
I promised the kids another movie this week. Still

A must see movie for kids, especially teens. Almost a cult status
movie like Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Potter movies are keen, I believe.

A must see movie, also the Spiderman sequel. Both might be suitable
for kids, judging from the previews. Violence in those movies though.

If they come up with a new twist, then I'll see them. Van Helsing was
okay; Frankenstein was a good monster. That Sommers (sp?) has a
fertile imagination. Supposedly Kate's worst acting performance thus
far, according to some reviewers on rotten tomatoes.com.
Ebert liked it though. Okay, Hugh is a good actor. He plays macho;
then he tap dances like Peter Allen. Unbelievable on the Leno show.

Sometimes the ratings are off the mark I think, that's why I'm inquiring
and hoped somebody has seen it. The previews were intense. I didn't see
any sex. There is strong sexual content often in the news.

It turns out they aren't interested in Troy anyway and it looks like
I'll be taking mine and some of their friends to see Mean Girls. The
previews were pretty funny.
I loved Fast Times at RH and I'm a big Penn fan.
I flatly refused to take them to Garfield
I won't see it unless there's nothing else.
They had a rather large inflatable Garfield at the theater as a promo.
It was a cheaply made rendition of the lazy feline if that's any
indication of how the movie will be....
and I don't think I can sit

movie......YAWN of all YAWNS.

Keen? Is that like groovy?
The first Potter movie was too long and my husband even fell asleep.
We have them all on DVD now so if we fall asleep......it's okay.
The new Will Smith robot movie looks
good but not out until July.

sequel. Both might be suitable for kids,

Yeah but it's not real and I don't think it will ruin mine. Some degree
of violence is okay and you should know your kids better than anyone
else and what is or isn't appropriate for them. They are all unique and
one thing shouldn't necessarily apply to all.

Twisting zombies! What a great idea! I believe one did the MOON WALK
already in Return of the Living Dead.

I really loved the pre-movie ad where the indians are trying to hunt the
buffalo before the harsh winter and a cell phone rings and scares the
entire herd away.....(don't forget to turn off your cell phone that you
purchased from Best Buy during the movie) did you see it? ;)
Well, I guess we covered nearly everything... except maybe what candy
you prefer at the movie. Me? I love Raisinettes. :)

Maybe Keen is cleaner (nerdier and/or more humble & clean) than
Groovy. When you think that the term 'groovy' was used in '60s
psychodelic excapades.

Yes, I remember seeing black and white re-runs where Wally Cleaver used
it and also remember reading it in my passed down volumes of "The Happy
Hollisters".
Honey Wheeler was also a keen kind of girl.

Your kids might not like Troy - I haven't seen it yet (haven't been
to the movies in ages) but it looks like a lot of gore and violence..
probably an intricate plot too, that the kids wouldn't understand.
Maybe you should go with your husband or a friend of yours to see that
one. I want to go see it too.. I like those types of movies. Not to
mention I wouldn't mind staring at Brad Pitt for lengthy periods
of time .. ;)
What about Shrek for the kids? Or are they too old for that now?
