Enjoy it while it lasts. Once judge Alito gets in there
after he effectively gets rubber-stamped in January, the
mandatory inclusion of the theory of 'Intelligent Design'
shall most definitely become federal law i.e. applicable
and strictly enforced in *all* fifty states of the Union. :-D

So mock as you will, 'Intelligent Design' opens the door,
and is coming soon to a theatre of combat near you...

Enjoy!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomen_nescio
Nomen nescio, abbreviated to N.N., is used to signify an anonymous or
non-specific person. From Latin nomen, name, and nescire, not to know,
be ignorant of. Together, I do not know the name.

It's just cretinism. Already unconstitutional. At the Dover
trial, Behe admitted he had to dumb down the definition of
science so much that astrology qualified as science!

But, unfortunately, he may be right here. We may be seeing a big shift in
the court's position soon, if things go Reverend Bush's way.

Could be, I suppose. But with his approval rating at an all-time low
and even his own party beginning to turn against him, I think
"Reverend" Bush has more important things to worry about than forcing
ID into science classes. :-)

<PLONK!>

In a thread a few days ago I proposed using Alito's catholicism to
divide the religious right that wishes to see him confirmed. If
you didn't know, in recent years the Vatican has declared the Big
Bang theory to be compatible with biblical creation, and the new
pope just issued some fatwah declaring Evolution to also be
compatible. Not that I give a flying ***** what the pope thinks,
even if by some chance it happens to conform to reality, but his
opinion contradicts the opinion of the evangelical protestant
faction of Bush's religious-right coalition. The evangelicals
might support Alito because their views on abortion happen to
match those of catholics, but their views on evolution do not
match.
I'm not sure what the evangelicals consider more important, a SC
justice who will vote to ban abortion or one that will vote to
uphold the teaching of Creationism in public schools. Alito
takes his orders from the pope, and the pope has already declared
Evolution to be fact.
BTW, I accept the evidence for evolution, but I base it on the
scientific evidence. Believing in evolution becuz the pope told
you so is no better than believing the earth is flat becuz Pat
Robertson told you so.

I found some pretty funny stuff at this site, one of them fits in with
this thread.
The site is www.sparro.com/where_do_you_fit_in.htm
The photo location is www.sparro.com/images/intelligent_design.jpg
