I have a two-and-a-half-part question:
Why does the American government feel it is its duty to fight other
people's wars or otherwise interfere in other people's affairs?
Why does the American populace support the American government when it
does such things, year after year, decade after decade? Numb?

(Boy oh boy, I just love this. If you can't be concise, be controversial!)
short answer #1 Because it's good for business.
short answer #2 Because it's good for business.
my two bits... because the US is currently being run by the Corporations whose
GREED knows no bounds or limits, and since the Corporates control the means of
production and distribution of the necessities of life, if you want to eat, you
go along. It's the Golden Rule, "He who has the gold, makes the Rules". Is that
plain enough for you, or do I need to use smaller words?
