Damage assessment isn't complete. But
the storm cost lives and billions of

I have just heard from a friend in Virginia who lives very well inland.
She said this was the worst she had ever been through, far worse than
Floyd.
She said it was a category 2 storm that did the damage of a category 4
storm. She had a few pecan trees that were uprooted that had always
brough in a nice little extra income before Christmas each year.
Insurance won't cover trees unless they damage something. The wind also
blew her bedroom window in.

Her brother will be collecting however, a tree crashed through his
kitchen and one through his bedroom. They were all heading towards the
kitchen to sit down for dinner when this happened. He had to be taken to
the hospital for chest pains right afterwards.

They were some of the lucky ones.

But U r alright down there in sunny Florida, sweetie-puffs ?!?
I think we have had more wind down here in boring Melbourne -- blew a
few trees over and a bus shelter roof off, anyway ;-)
Bet U didn't notice anything down in Florida, but the peoples in N
Carolina and Virginia weren't so lucky }:-(
