didn't want to defile themselves, or they couldn't participate in the festivities.
So get the Romans to do it. It's much cleaner that way. Well you can go on
blaming the Romans if you want.

Jesus one way or the other. To them, he was just another hippie. If you were
to actually read the gospels, it wouldn't take you long to find it was the Jewish
religious authorities who he confronted, and who hate him, and plotted to kill
him many times.
