It's the Democrat's election to loose. If they aren't competent enough to
win in November they aren't competent enough to rule. Like James Carville
says, if they aren't able to win in this environment they'll have to
re-examine who they are as a party.

They have to do that in any case if they want to be successful.
The old Democratic platform won't fly any more. They can't just
wave their fingers at Republicans and accuse them of racism and
corruption. They have to actually come up with something positive
that will help the country.

I agree with you 100% there. They should also be able to properly exploit
Republican weaknesses along with provided acceptable alternatives. It all
remains to be seen.

The Democrats should do very well in November. I hope they can
come up with someone good for 2008. Otherwise, who knows how long
the occupation of Iraq will drag on.
