The United Nations says Israel's three-day military operation in a
Gaza Strip refugee camp has left 1,240 Palestinians homeless. It was
the largest demolition of houses in a Gaza raid in three years of
fighting. Almost 120 houses are thought to have been completely
destroyed, with about the same number damaged by helicopter missiles,
tanks and bulldozers.
