Windows is notorious for being unreliable bloatware, anyway. Although I
have no direct evidence, it would seem logical that the OS would be custom
designed by all those Ph.D.s working for NASA, rather than purchased off the
shelf. You see, any OS distributor would just love to say that NASA chose
their OS, but I've yet to hear any such advertising.

I think the 68000 was the next chip up from the 6809e which was a duel
8bit16bit CPU. it could switch modes or operate as a double processor.
There was an outfit in Richardson, Tx that worth lots of programs and tools
for the 6809e CPU.
The company that used it almost exclusively was Tandy in their color
computer. The 1st low cost entry level computer...
