Whooosh! Boom! It'll be war before the shockwave dissapates. Tomorrow can be cancelled in an hour. We've
already seen the delivery system in action, crude but effective, and not very likely to pop on the pad. There
are allegations of functional weapons, but no verification by demonstration as yet. A Doomsday weapon is not
effective if you keep it a secret, you gotta show the World an opener before they'll believe you're actually 'in
the game'. So, until North Korea actually sets one off for the Press, it's all bluster and brinksmanship.

Of course..the paranoid might be an American!
Let's see..treaties or no treaties. Imagine that you are a N.Korean
and have differing opinions with the US. You feel threatened. You have
seen that the US will attack comparatively defenceless countries.
I think my policy would be : You have such weapons..so will we.
Wouldn't your policy be something like that?
Now, if the US destroys all of it's weapons of mass destruction..then
maybe the problem would be resolved.
No-one has asked the US to act as the lawmakers of the world. If only
your foreign policies stopped interfering in the workings of other
Nations then I am sure the regard for the US world-wide would improve.

Oh oh damn yankeees!
Phone call from the UN: "can y'all come over and clean up Liberia? The
French are busy in the Ivory Coast, damn near their entire army is there,
dropping weapons left and right, and besides you helped form the country
back after your civil war so it has to be your problem..."
indeed.

No it's the irony that what many have said all along, that the UN can't do
anything without the US, or is unwilling to do much of anything without the
US, appears to be true again. Damn Yankees indeed.
Of course your original post was a masterpiece of misdirection, claiming as
you did that "we were tired" of the former slaves who founded Liberia.
Having just fought a very bloody civil war that resulted in the end of
slavery in the US that's fairly dishonest don't you think? Or was that just
your usual feeble sarcasm?

As far out as it may seem to some apners, it would be logical for a
country with advanced nuclear capabilities to absorb a "first strike"
rather than retaliate in like manner and run the risk of plunging the
entire world into a nuke "holocaust".
So in my naive mind, it would still take two idiots.
Right now, the the most advanced delivery system for most countries
would be UPS.

Oh but you're wromg. The US gets tasked by the Insecurity Council every time some tinpot dictator gets a wild hair up
his ***** and goes off his nut. And who sits on the Insecurity Council? Fifteen nations, only five of whom are nuclear
powers, the rest are non-nuclear losers with an axe to grind with the US because their governments didn't 'move with
the times' after WWII. Personally, I'd like nothing better than for the UN to get evicted from Riverside Drive and
take the whole pack of liars and spies out of my country. You'll notice that the Russians never get tasked for these
incountry excursions; that's because they have a nasty habit of not leaving once the natives are pacified, or they
pacify the natives to the point of extinction. The same is true for the Chinese. Maybe we should just go in and flat
level the place next time, or call the submarine and turn the offending country into a radioactive slagheap as a
method of international intervention, then the UN won't be calling US every time something doesn't go according to the
UN's agenda of total world domination.
Oh, BTW, foreign policy is NOT made by our Government, it's made by the Corporations who OWN the Erected
Reprehensibles body and soul. Complain to Exxon and Ford, maybe they'll listen if you bribe them heavily enough.
