I read John Hogue's book' The Complete Prophecies' It seemed I stood alone

Nostradamus has been uncanny in his predictions of some of the most dramatic
events of the 20th and previous centuries.
What does Nostradamus have to say about the events of this new century, this
new millennium? Many fear that his prophecies point to the event that most
of the world has been dreading since the end of World War II and the
introduction of nuclear weapons: World War III... doomsday... Armageddon.
Some say it's right around the corner, and with the events of Sept. 11 still
fresh and the escalating tensions in the Middle East (aren't tensions
always escalating in the Middle East?), a new war with global involvement
isn't hard to imagine. The mighty American Army bogged down in Iraq. Who
will defend America?

Nostradamus suggests that Muslim armies will see their first big victory
over Spain. Soon after, Rome will be destroyed with nuclear weapons, forcing
the Pope to relocate:

For seven days the great star will burn,
The cloud shall make two suns to appear:
The big mastiff will howl all night
When the great pontiff changes country.

Nostradamus seems to say that Israel will be defeated in this war led by
bin Laden. The war goes in favour of the Eastern forces (Muslims, China and
Poland) for awhile until the Western allies are joined by Russia and are
finally victorious around the year 2012:

When those of the arctic pole are united together,
In the East great dread and fear:
Newly elected, supporting the great trembling,
Rhodes, Byzantium with Barbarian blood stained.

The ravings of a 16th century madman?

Look at this Nostradamus's quatrain:

"L'an mil neuf cens nonante neuf sept mois

The year one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine seven months

Du ciel viendra un grand Roy d'effrayeur

From the sky will come a great king of alarm

Resusciter le grand Roy d'Angoulmois

To bring back to life the great King of Angoulmois

Avant apres Mars regner par bon heur

Before after, Mars to reign by good fortune."

Nothing happened that remotely bore any resemblance to this prediction
until September 11th: Four planes came "from the sky", and the "great king
of alarm" refers to a mastermind terrorist.

The "King of Angoulmois" has often been interpreted to be the reincarnation
of Genghis Khan, the Mongolian warlord. With the focus on Afghanistan after
the attacks, it became known to unacquainted westerners that half the Afghan
population are composed of descendants from a "lost" Mongol tribe,
descendants of Genghis Khan's armies. They speak Pashtun, the dominant
language for a thousand years, and the preferred language of the Taliban who
still roam the land.

If these interpretations of Nostradamus are to be believed, it's going to be
after a lot of death and suffering, much of it caused by the use of nuclear
weapons by both sides in the fight. John Hogue's book' The Complete
Prophecies' is considered by many to be one of the world's leading
authorities on Nostradamus, agrees that the writings indicate that next
world war will probably begin sometime within the next decade.

John Hogue fits more into the category of a "PROFIT-eer" than a
prophet, unfortunately....

I have read numerous books on eschatological & Biblical prophecy &
have a
personal collection at home of just over 300 books on the subject....

John Hogue is an opportunist & his interpretations of Nostradamus's
quatrains
are highly speculative & dubious -- IOW his books make good coffee
table reading
material, but lack any academic credibility or authority
whatsoever....

World War III as already begun -- under the guise of the so-called
"War on Terror" .....
