The above quatrain is only to demonstrate that Nostradamus does not use
specific words for he is not permitted to alter the future. Example of
Specific: President Bush will invade Iraq and capture Saddam at x
location at x date. (for then Saddam would not hide at that location
and history would be altered).

The above *golden cage* is not a cage but an *iron/brass helmet*
The old Lion is not a Lion but an old King who dies from a pierce eye
during a joust match.

So everything that seems to be something is actually something
completely different. Well now it all makes sense. When it says
anything, it doesn't mean that, it means something else. Any word it
uses actually means another word entirely. I don't see why there's any
confusion about this. You can just say it means whatever you like.
