Well.....pretty much. Attacks have definitely been increasing in the
Kurdish area though, and I have no idea who is behind it.

Probably the PKK Kurds, who aren't too happy about Bu$h agreeing with
Turkey to classify them as a terrorist organization.

I have no idea dude...the attacks have kind of stopped the past couple
weeks.

But it could also be Iranians sneaking in through Kurd-controlled territory
because both are more opposed to the Baathists than each other.

Doubt it.....there are lots of armed Iranians in the south but they are
doin about zero.

The point is, Bu$h is deluding himself (if he honestly believes the things
he's said) and the military by claiming that Iraqis are fighting for
Democracy.

What democracy? There will be none as long as USA is there.

Maybe the common serfs, like the common serfs in every country might want
Democracy, but those with the power and $$$ in Iraq and neighboring
countries have something very different in mind.

As long as Amerika doesn't face the truth, the wrong decisions will
continue to be made.

Oh yah we are. From the neocon pt. of view, we are occupying Iraq! We
have a toehold in the middle of the Arab World, we screwed Saddam's
tough military maching, Israel is safer, the US and Israel now dominate
the region, the Arab World is running scared. We are in excellent
position to threaten Iran and Syria and move to the East towards Russia
and China.....and we have control over the 2nd biggest oil reserves on
Earth.

It is a $100-500 billion bonanza for the corporate pirates.

Iraqis simply are not capable of democracy.

That is not known at the moment. Anyway, the US wants to make sure
Iraqi democracy never happens.

The best thing to do is split up Iraq into three new countries.

That is a total disaster and the worst idea of them all. That is what
Israel wants. Think about it: that is what the worst enemies of any
Muslim or Arab on Earth want? You think they want what is good for
Iraq?

Bu$h is not interested in what is good for Iraq.

they want to just turn Iraq into a failed state and milk oil out of it.
