A lot of people don't believe that God exists either. Some people were
taught as kids that Satan was that horned devil or the goat and a lot of
people associate Satanic worship as something of a Voodoo ritual. It's not
like that at all, although that IS a form of worshipping Satan. Satan
believes that God doesn't exist because God is unseen, unknowable, an
Infinite Being that cannot be proven. He is the lord over the earth and
since he doesn't believe in his Lord having authority over him, he wants
people to honor him as God. Hence, his command that no other "god" was to
be worshipped and his commandments were to be obeyed.
His deception was to make us think that he was the one true God as revealed
to Moses and Mohammed. So, yes, the deception is there is no devil because
he is God. But this jealous god who is prone to great anger is also the
Devil when he is crossed. You might call him a cruel beast master that uses
punishment and retribution to keep his charges in line. The weapon against
Satan is Love. He hates Love and Compassion. He loves Violence and
Revenge. His M.O. is Fear. To beat him, all you need is to give yourself
up to Love. Love is Light and Light destroys the Darkness. Love is the
most courageous thing a human being can do and ONLY human beings out of all
of creation can Love, other than the Almighty God and his Sons of Light.
