Good idea, God should have used reverse psychology. Thou shalt murder
because ye art the lowliest of animals and scum; I (holy Jehovah) order

you

to murder your own people because ye art useless slime. Ye haveth no hope

of

ending wars for ye art the worst of El's creations. Ye haveth no chance of
proving me wrong...

Yes, of course.

That's exactly what god should have done.

And that's exactly what I meant... and that's exactly what I think jha_amin
meant.

Of course... the concept that one should not *have* to "command" a loved one
to love you is lost....

The deeper concept of 'raising' your children is lost....
The deeper concept of 'teaching' your children is lost...
The deeper concept of 'leading' your children is lost...

No... it is quite obvious that;
Children should be forced to love (pick one)...
Children should be forced to respect (pick one)...
Children should be forced to learn (pick one) ...
Children should be forced to have no other belief except (pick one)...

And since this concept applies to our children.... then it surely it applies
to gods children?

(Uh, that'd be you and me and a whole bunch of others).
;)

The point is, when is the last time you commanded a
loved one to do something? Did it get done? ;)

LOL!

Oh, wait... that's a pretty serious question, with pretty serious

answers,

and perhaps a pretty serious lesson.

Hmmm... the last time I commanded a loved one to do something, it was

"You

*will* bring up your grade in Mathematics...".

... and no, it did not get done. In fact, it seemed to have the opposite
effect... and worse.

Hmmm...

The ten commandments did not loose.

1) loose is to set free
2) take care what you bind and what you loose

of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in
heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in
heaven."
<> Deuteronomy 6:8 "And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine

and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of
paths to dwell in."

and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein,
and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk
therein."

At first I thought it a typo but perhaps my fingers knew better than I did.
My point was that Christianity must remain set loose, away from the grasping
of political groups of any belief. History shows us that whenever a
theocracy is established both the political structure and the religion
suffer. Does this mean I am against the 10 commandments? Not in the least.
One would hope that the justices carry their faith into the courtroom. But
as individuals, the way it was intended.

Christianity must remain firmly entrenched in political power.
Otherwise you have a completely religiously-neutral political power.
As such it will not decide in the favor of Christianity in its courts.
On the contrary, it will dictate to the courts a choice that is
neutral, necessarily favoring a neutrality and diversity that
tolerates sin and the removal of any religious dogma. In reality, it
is replacing religious dogma with the dogma of supposed "neutrality."
History has shown 1000 years of successful theocracy (in a sense) in
the Byzantine Empire. Islam has shown a remarkable capacity to
persevere because of its theocratic tendencies. The Jewish faith
itself is based on theocracy, the uncompromising Kingdom of God and
its moral law. None of this argues your case, but in fact, denies what
you claim.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.. | Now, enough of this singing.

df stands for defensor fidei.

Perhaps...
Is that like a disciple?
Tell me, df, When were the Ten Commandments created?
(IOW, were they created in the Six Days of Creation, before the
Seventh Day rest? When they were given to Moses, were they that
day written by God? Like he spoke upon the Mount, <> Exodus 19:16
"And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were
thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the
voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was
in the camp trembled.")
perhaps...
Now, the question is, has any on jot or tittle been altered?
perhaps...
Notes: Law and Light intermingle and are "One"?
<> I Samuel 18:23 "And Saul’s servants spake those words in the ears
of David. And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a
king’s son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed?"
<> Proverbs 6:23 "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is
light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
<> Isaiah 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not
according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
<> Isaiah 51:4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me,
O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my
judgment to rest for a light of the people."
<> Zephaniah 3:4 "Her prophets are light and treacherous persons:
her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to
the law."
