The bulk of this Preface consists of Nostradamus' account of how he
came to prophesy. Such is the nature of his involved structures that
it may strike the reader as sheer gibberish and leave him no better
informed than before he started to read it.
To make it as comprehensible as possible, we have taken great
liberties in breaking up sentences pages long into short sentences.
The paragraphs are a further arbitrary subdivision, based as nearly as
possible on breaks in the chain of thought. They are also essential
for Index references, though the latter have been kept to a minimum
(proper names only) for the Preface and the Epistle.
Great care has been taken not to read anything into the translation
that is not implied in the original French; but in the writings of
Nostradamus the dividing line between a translation of verbatim
gibberish and unjustifiable paraphrasing is a very thin one indeed.

I could go on and on in the rest of the text on how it is you have used that
word wrongly to make people here believe your point... anyway, now I see that
you have finally realized cannot make your pretense anymore about this word, and
corrected your text. About time.
Of course, I don't expect you will thank me, you will rather keep on as you
always do when corrected, ignore me and still keep on pretending ***** about me
behind my back (in posts you don't have to address the reply); but you did
correct it stealthily, so, nonetheless, it makes me a nice velvet to see you
bamboozle the common a bit less, they who think they have only you to rely on
about Nostradamus. :-)
