The term "Wacko Jacko" is now commonplace in Tabloid Journalism in
both England and Australia and is catching on in America *fast* has
been around for well over ten years now......
In fact, a simple google search will reveal literally thousands of
entries under the name which is synonymous with Michael Jackson, so
it's nothing new.....
Though some Sepps would like to pretend otherwise............

Arts: 'Wacko Jacko' from Down Under

Thursday, January 22, 2004

TORONTO -- Wacko Jacko -- the derogatory tabloid title of choice that has
been known to make Michael Jackson cry -- is now believed to be the work of
Australian writer Tim Ward.

Salon.com says the term first made an appearance in print on Aug. 7, 1986,
in a story for The Courier-Mail in Brisbane, Ward called Jackson the "Howard
Hughes of pop ... wacko Jacko."

A year later, Robert Hilburn wrote in the Los Angeles Times that Jackson's
"much-publicized eccentricities have caused writers here to dub him 'Wacko
Jacko.' "
