other peoples ;-)
they routinely wear surgical type mask in japan for that very same reason...

Employees of Wal-Mart in Glenwood Springs, Colorado were recently
alarmed by the presence of a masked man, not knowing that the
ski-mask
wearer was Michael Jackson.
According to Eonline, the entertainer's outdoor-gone-indoor
fashion
choice prompted a call to local police from a skittish employee, who
was
on alert because of a rash of robberies in recent years.
Police cleared up the mystery when a cruiser pulled up alongside
Jackson's
car in the Wal-Mart parking lot and asked the covered passenger to
remove
his disguise, says the report.
Meanwhile, even though Jackson's headgear led to a police
response,
the rep said that local authorities told her that it's not unusual
for
persons in chilly Colorado to wear ski masks indoors.
It's certainly not unusual for Jackson to cover up, the 45-year- old
has
also showed up in a California congressman's office last May, in a
Spider-Man mask, the better to inquire as to the whereabouts of the
nearest Taco Bell.
