The guy who the United States put as Ruler of Iraq owned the largest
Bank
Company in Jordan. He escaped from Jordan after a court order accused
him of
very illegal Bank activities.
To the tune of 400 million!
The United States knew about this, it looks like the US put him there
based upon their own interests and not that he would be a competent
and trustworthy to Iraqy people.
You must be talking Achmed Chalabi, he got the job because:
1) he wore suits
2) was punctual for his appointments
He has a more coloured history, don't forget it was Iranian
intelligence of WMD that chalabi fed to the CIA.

He is not in the power elite, but he does have a few relatives, still
in the regime, plus he has added status of being disliked by the US
admin, he is still around though.
Check the new man's credentials "Niace"
