Here in America, we sometimes feel that the events of Revelation could
not be occurring. We have a religious President. The freedom of
religion is strong (though under attack). In general, life is good.

However, overseas, the events of the end-times are rapidly occurring.
Consider this prophecy...

Luke 21:20 "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies,
then know that the desolation thereof is nigh."

The UN has allowed (and in some cases funded) the countries around
Israel to attack them for over 50 years. In recent years, the leader
of the attack (Arafat) has been praised at a peacemaker, and the UN
has issued many condemnations of Israel for defending itself.

A few years ago, Israel got a great idea. They decided to put up a
wall around themselves to stop attacks on them. This way, the
terrorists couldn't get in to attack them. However, now, the UN has
condemned Israel for taking this purely defensive action and demanded
they remove the defensive barrier.

America has been Israel's only real ally. It has vetoed many UN
actions against Israel.

You would think that Revelation's world attack on Israel couldn't
exist if the US were there to protect them. However, in recent years,
the USA has found itself busy with terrorist problems of their own.
They couldn't take on another war for Israel's defense at this point.
Also, if you study prophecy, the US is not among the nations that are
attacking Israel in the end. It is countries from Europe, the far
north (russia), and such, but there is no mention of the USA being
involved at all.

If Israel were to be attacked now, it would all be prophetic. The
nations would attack Israel, Europe would be greatly involved, and the
US, due to other concerns, wouldn't be involved.

The end could be sooner than we think.
