Yes, it is all economic.....as it is always....
the Pentagon is trying to "save" money by closing the bases while the
Congress is
rebutting the closings to save jobs and military spending in their
states......
But one other major reason has arisen tho it too is still an economic one:
RETIRED military usually retire and live around military bases so they can
still use their
commissary/exchange and sometimes base hospital rights.....saves them big
bux
at taxpayer expense by the way.....
Of course, if they close these bases the retired military benefits
disappear.....and with
gasoline prices exploding, out-of-town trips to any other close-by military
bases
doesnt make sense/cents
These military retirees are raising a major rucus with their elected
officials and
they are winning this fight to stop some of these closings whether they make
sense or not......

The most IMPORTANT thing is that Republican-majority (Red)
states see fewer base-closings than Democrat-majority (Blue)
states; and similarly, Republican-majority (Red) states enjoy
more base expansions than the Democrat-majority (Blue) states.
As long as *that* happens, let 'em close and expand military
bases to their hearts' content!

Nope, ..I really don't see a pattern here to justify
profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never
offend ! anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing
us, airport security screeners will no longer be
allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct
random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids,
airline pilots with proper identification, secret
agents who are members of the President's security
detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and
Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss,
but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40
alone lest they be guilty of profiling.
And guess who just bombed London? or the trains in Madrid? or ......
Jamie Gorlick? John Kerry? Ted Kennedy? Or someone else? Who could it be
all over the world?

Praise the LORD! And these anti-American, anti-Christ left-wing
liberal DemoNUTS will *never* recover from their self-inflicted
political, social, religious & economic suicide...they're TOAST!
The most important thing for us moral-majority Republicans to do
is to assist the liberals in their self-destruction in every way
that we can, by helping them to accomplish their own extinction.
It seems the easiest way to do that is to just sit back and enjoy
the show! Break out the icy brewskies, and roast the marshmallows!
The liberals' own self-consuming *hatred* has ensured their Death.
Enjoy!

Thank you for that most enlightening and non-prophetic information on
our stupid military politics.
This is simply more evidence that the government is completely insane
and fully discombobulated.
