These people have waayy too much time on their hands.
NEW YORK - Dressed in a tuxedo, Simba sat at the front of
one of Manhattan's newest dining establishments and nodded
at people who greeted him. Then he yawned, began to roll on
the floor and lick his paws. That's acceptable behavior at
the Meow Mix Cafe, a new eatery designed especially for cats
and their human owners.
Simba, an 8-month-old kitten, was joined by about two dozen
other tabbies, Persians and Burmese for a feast at Tuesday's
grand opening of the cafe, which is owned by the Meow Mix
Company, a Secaucus, N.J.-based cat food maker.
"Why not take your cat out for dinner?" asked Simba's owner,
Leah Thompson, 19. "There's always things for dogs, but
never cats."
The midtown restaurant serves Meow Mix packets for its
feline customers with corresponding dishes to satisfy
human palates. "Deep Sea Delight" mackerel for cats is
paired with tuna rolls for cat owners; "Upstream Dream"
salmon for felines corresponds with mini crab cakes for
humans.
Meow Mix president and CEO Richard Thompson said the
feline-friendly restaurant has two main rules: no dogs
and no catnip, which must be checked at the door.
"Our goal is to keep cats happy," Thompson said. "The
idea is that you can bring them and start socializing
them."

Oh......that's nothing.
I have a sort of "Needy Soup Kitchen" on my front porch.
All the hungry cats in the neighborhood gather here for "good eats"
(Whiska's).
Burns my cats up too because they don't like sharing.
Occasionally an opossum even comes for a late night snack.
I also have a "Nocturnal Lizard Lounge" by the porch light. All the cool
lizards hang out here because the bugs love the light and the lizards
love the bugs!
Yep! I'm a-doin' my part I do believe! ;)

Don't the cats eat the lizards? A regular food chain

Mostly they torture them. We have many tail-less lizards running around.
The skink lizards are poisonous and can make them extremely ill if they
eat those.

So who eats the tails, the ants?
My dogs preclude feline ownership.

The ants eat ANYTHING laying in the yard that's not moving. Dead birds,
lizards that didn't survive the cat torture, etc.
They are good little cleaners. I guess they do serve some purpose now
that I look at it.
My dogs preclude feline ownership.
What kind of dogs?

The skink lizard:
Range: New Jersey to Nebraska, south to Texas and Florida.
Habitat: trash heaps, etc...

What happened to the nice little mice the cats do love? Got any of those around?

Sure, but you have to hand it to the people who realized this would make
