August 9th, 2004, just a few days before August 13th and the opening
ceremony for the World Games.
The quoted verse (only) in English and French as found in "Nostradamus
and His Prophecies" by Edgar Leoni.
Commentary and Analysis, using the cryptic 16th Century coding and
veiling techniques with adaptations and variations written by Robert
"NostraBOBus" Egan of San Diego, California. (See David Ovason's book on the
subject: "The Secret Codes Of Nostradamus."

In English:
" Through the Attic land fountain of wisdom,
At present the rose of the world:
The bridge ruined, and its great pre-eminence
Will be subjected, a wreck (In most translations given
as, "shipwreck") amidst the waves."
In French:
" Par terre Attique chef de la sapience,
Qui de présent est la rose du monde:
Pont ruiné, et sa grande préeminence
Sera subdite et naufrage des ondes."
Line One:
" Through the Attic land fountain of wisdom,"" Par terre Attique chef
de la sapience,"
Truly, the land-territory-region of the Valley of Attica comprises the
exact location of the 2004 Olympic Games, the main location being the
vast sprawling city-area of Athens, which actually includes several
municipalities. Indeed, Athens, Greece was once known as the center of
Western Civilization back as far as 550 B.C. Thus, the term: ".fountain of
wisdom."
New Information: Please be reminded of Greek history and Mythology-the
source...the fountainhead of Wisdom was considered to be the Goddess
Athena, the very Patron Saint of Athens, Greece!
However, when analyzing the beginning line of the verse for hidden
cryptic meaning it is found to contain the phonetic soundings of: "mis" for
the word, "miss".yes, the "w" unveils an orthographic inversion
technique and becomes the letter: "m." Then, the next word, becomes, the
phonetic pronunciation," dom" for the word, "dome." Truly, the construction
of the highly symbolic dome ("roof") on the main Athens Olympic Stadium
was a constant problem due to "missed" time schedules and lengthy
delays of all kinds. Nostradamus can cleverly include multi-layered meanings
in a few simple words.
Line Two:
" At present the rose of the world:"
" Qui de présent est la rose du monde:"
However, what gives the real assurance of the precise location of the
main Athens Olympic Stadium is veiled slightly in the first words of the
second verse: ".At present." This can easily be understood to mean:
" here." As it happens, the wife of the famed Greek Mythological God,
Zeus was none other than: "Herea." Please be reminded of Nostradamus
fondness of leaving a single letter or so out a well-known name of old.
The amazing and highly convincing fact of History is revealed in the
knowledge of the Greek Goddess' Temple being the exact location where now
stands the Athens main Olympic Stadium! This would be a very clever and
ingenious way of giving the exact location of the prophetic event about
to take place before the eyes and ears of the entire world. Please
notice the high probability of a very significant other clue. Please view
the opening first two words-in French-. Now, by combining the two words,
another word appears." Quide." Nostradamus, would at times veil, his
true meaning by using one letter misspelled, and.by the inserting of the
'correct' letter.in this case, an "a" come up with an acceptable
alternative spelling of" Al Qaida." The very next word in the line being:"
present." Yes, it would certainly be possible of Nostradamus to be
foretelling us the presence and influence of this world wide terrorist group
and/or an associated group (cell.) Also, "at present" could potentially
be revealing an "event" taking place at the" Opening Presentation"
ceremony of the Athens Olympics on August 13th. Simply put, the word,
"present" can hold various significant meanings.
Now, why do I feel certain Nostradamus is foretelling a very negative
anddisastrous event directly related to the World Olympics in Athens,
Greece in the Year 2004 in the Month of August? First, see the very next
words in Line Two: ".it will be the rose of the World." First, a
thorough search of Western Literature reveals no such meaningful term. What
Nostradamus has done here is leave out a single letter from the word,"
rose." By the addition of the single letter, a new word and meaning
comes about: "rouse" of the World. The word "rouse" means to "jog" and or,
"to rally." The word "jog" can be a very clever way of referring to
"run." Now, the World Olympics idea certainly fits with the terms in use
here.
ADDED: The term "bridge" is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary
as:
"Flyover," certainly an apt term for what has become the number one
symbol of Olympic Security..the Phevos blimp...and one of the mascots
names for this particular Olympics.
Note: The term, "ruined" can by defintion be related to a:
"financial disaster"
Indeed, 'Phevos' symbolizes the very thing that brought the Olympics to
"financial disaster," the public'reaction to the intense security
situation! This certainly was a very major factor for the low attendance
figures!
Line Three:
" The bridge ruined, and its great pre-eminence"
" Pont ruiné, et sa grande preeminence"
It has just recently been announced a very key cog of the command and
control center for the security at the Olympics will involve the use of
an "airship' over the Olympic venues, including the port of Piraeus in
Athens and Athens itself, especially the main Olympic Stadium. It is
planned be in the air 15 hours a day during the August 13th to 29th
Olympics.all in the month of August of 2004. Over 1,300 security devices
located throughout Athens and the Olympic venues will feed electrical
signals to the domed sensors in the platform command center located
directly underside the blimp-airship-diregible. Then, the signals will also be
sent back and forth and duly transferred to an extremely sophisticated
command and control center on the ground.
Now, please notice the very first words in Line 3, are:
" The Bridge ruined." A 'bridge' can be defined as a
" command center" and/or platform, especially on a
" ship".such as an "airship."
To go on to the next words in Line 3: ".and its grand preeminence." The
word "grand" can have several layers of meaning, such as:
fabled-immortal-legendary-stately-august (code for August?)-large-lofty.Inf. "up
there." Follow this next bit of information closely. The nickname of the
Airship comes from one of the two mascots for the Greek sponsored games:
Phevos (also spelled Phoebus.) All, basically referring back through
various Greekand Roman Mythological spellings to the God Apollo which was
a very fabled, immortal, and legendary figure in Mythology of the past.
No wonder, Nostradamus chose to include the word, "grand" in the line
of the prophecy. Now, move on to the word," .(grand) preeminence." This
word means.control-power-primacy-dominace, and also can refer to
something of "height." Nostradamus, very apparently had seen some sort of
vision of this "up in the air" legendary (Phevos) command and control
center.
It is important to notice the way Nostradamus writes these verses.many
times the lines just flow into to one another, as further information
is revealed. This is a very good example of such. Please go to the
fourth and final connected line.
Line Four:
" Will be subjected, a (ship)wreck amidst the waves"
" Sera subdite et naufrage des ondes."
The line continues from line three by telling us the airship will be
'subjected.' This particular word, once again, carries an array of
potential meanings: " crashed," "exposed" as to flaws and problems, legal and
contractual difficulties and their liabilities involved.also: under the
dominance and control of others. Strangely enough all the terms fit
into giving us a view of what happens in case of an 'incident' involving
the airship. Also, be reminded" shipwreck" is often used when portraying
a "financial disaster." It appears the Athens Olympics could easily go
down in history as such,especially with very lackluster ticket sales.
The last few words of the fourth and ending line seems to foretell of
".a ship (short for Air Ship?) wreck amidst the waves." In this case,
"the waves" could easily be referring to the multiplicity of various
electrical signals being sent into the command and control center.
Just Added:
However, as it has turned out, the "shipwreck" is reffering to a
financial disaster" as defined in the Oxford Dictionary as one of its
meanings.
Finally, the terms: "...amidst the waves."
This apparently now applies to the unusual historical fact of the
Athens Olympic venues experiencing a 4.5 "shaker." "Waves" can be reffering
the terms: undulate...undualtions. To shake and or tremor."
About "amid" (amide...ammonium nitrate.) It is true that a year before
the Olympics an extremely large cache of ammonium nitrate was
discovered of the coast of Greece. However, it seems to better fit the fact of
there being a verifiable quake that shook the city of Athens during the
Olympics.
Another, distinct possibility is veiled in the last line of this verse,
in the word "amidst." An alternative spelling for this word is: "amid."
This is just one letter short of the word: amide. When checking my
research notes the word, "amide" is definitely related to the term:"
Ammonium." Be reminded, "Ammonium" could be a veiled reference to the number
one favorite explosive of the terrorists. It is true this airship will
be on the ground for several hours a day as well as in the air. It
would appear the 'event' happens while in the air.but on the ground is
another potential probability. It is also interesting that during the
opening ceremony in the main Athens Olympic Stadium on August 13th.a old
sailing ship of Ancient Greece (a 'wreck") it will suddenly will appear
from underground in the central area ground area of the middle stadium
area during a massive presentation involving thousand of participants.
Also, the stadium floor will be suddenly flooded during this special
dramatic presentation of the history of Greece.
