Dan Fogelberg died in Maine this morning of prostate cancer.
I liked a lot of his earlier work. Good voice, fine musician. Not a
giant artist but most respectable.
And for those of you who miss the turntable and those of you who've
never really seen one.............

Don't know if soft California style rock ever made it big in the UK or
not, Ricky.
Got into Mr. Fogleberg for a few years starting in 1974 with a very
sweet album called "Souvenirs" which is the album that particular song
above came from.
Then he made it really big here in the latter part of the 70's and
early 80'. Built a rather lavish home in Colorado and eventually put
it on the market for 15 million dollars.
American rock and roll dream.
He was a fine musician and did some nice work. Got accused of being a
bit repetitive and commercial once he made it really big.

Oh, they say that about everyone in that line of work John. I like
that gentle music. No, he is unknown in the UK..well, unknown to me
anyway.
I'll have to download a few of his songs via P to P.
