TV's Beast Zemanek dead at 60

TELEVISION host and radio shock jock Stan Zemanek, who made his name
as a personality listeners loved to hate, has died of a brain tumour
in Sydney at the age of 60.

The provocative and often amusing "shock jock'' had battled the brain
tumour since May last year.

He is survived by his wife Marcella, two daughters, Gaby and Melissa,
and two grandchildren.

RIP Stan. You were controversial, funny, and never gave a damn what
anyone thought - a good life many people could only dream of wanting

he was a larrakin, sharp, witty, with strong opinions...and gentle and
kind when called for. He was a man, take him for all in all, I fear
