THE LIBERAL-dominated [D]s took the Senate by one seat,
with little protest--as if the RNC's top brass decided
up front to hand them the election on a silver platter:
knowing the hard-line radical left-wing Liberals Pelosi
& Co. would jump at the opportunity to impeach Bush and
hate God, Family, Country 24/7/365... business as usual.
But this evolving situation will make the Liberals more
angry and bitter than ever before--especially thanks to
President Bush, his unassailable veto power, and thanks
to our Republican-dominated USSC, who the Liberals will
learn to hate like they've never learned to hate before.
As long as mainstream conservative Republicans control
both Executive and Judicial branches of our U.S. Gov't,
and effectively prevent the Liberal [D]s from gaining
an overriding majority in the Legislature, that keeps
the [R]s in the driver's seat. And that's what counts.
The RNC already knew the House of Representatives had
become a lost cause, no matter what they did. But they
could've retained the majority in the Senate, if they'd
really wanted to. But the GOP war-room obviously didn't
want to. All things considered, I see the wisdom of it.
This is clearly part of the RNC's overall strategy to
prevent the Liberals from taking over the White House
in 2008. That's obviously more important, even mission-
critical, for achieving long-term success in defeating
Liberalism in America and around the world, than it was
to temporarily surrender the majority in both Houses of
Congress over to the Liberals at this mid-term juncture.
The War will escalate, and Liberals have no stomach for
battle. America will watch Liberals try to "cut and run".
The Liberal-controlled Congress will fall into gridlock,
since our President will veto any even slightly Liberal
legislation that the Liberal [D] caucus tries to sneak
past their more centrist--some actually conservative!--
[D] subordinates. No amount of "sugar-coating" will hide
their radical Liberal agenda from the Republican minority,
much less from the veto pen of President George W. Bush;
all likewise no less from the watchful eyes of American
voters. It's the Liberals' turn to get hammered 24/7/365!
So, the REAL fight is about to begin. Every day between
now and election-day Tuesday November 4th, 2008 AD (and
forever thereafter) will draw applause from moderate-to-
conservatives, and death rattles from expiring Liberals.
So ask yourself, did Republicans simply lose these mid-
term elections, or did the RNC "throw the fight", as it
were, because had [R]s won, then the Liberals would've
had a better shot in 2008 of taking the White House(!)?
As in 2000 and 2004, that proved entirely unacceptable,
since no Liberal could ever be permitted to occupy the
Oval Office. I see now that, while the GOP candidates
resoundingly lost the mid-terms, the RNC got precisely
what they were after: the predictable Liberal-meltdown
between now and election-day 2008. THAT is what counts.
Enjoy!

Aww, Bush won't get impeached if he doesn't deserve it.
Personally I think the imminent investigations will target
a large number of top Bush advisers (possibly Cheney also)
who were giving the green light go to some very questionable
activities. Another likely target of investigations will be
the defense contracting in Iraq, and lack of adequate equipment
and safeguards for troops. You can bet some heads will roll
on this. I also have to question how debt collectors can be
set loose on injured troops returned from war and convalescing,
to collect on things like destroyed body armor and military
sign-up incentive bonuses.
Min, you keep on thinking about the world in terms of black
and white, democrat and republican. This is how children
see the world as it is much easier on an unformed brain.

A Liberal's Pledge to Disheartened Conservatives
To: Conservatives and Republicans
I, and my fellow signatories, hereby make these promises to you:
1. We will always respect you for your conservative beliefs. We will
never, ever, call you "unpatriotic" simply because you disagree with us.
In fact, we encourage you to dissent and disagree with us.
2. We will let you marry whomever you want, even when some of us
consider your behavior to be "different" or "immoral." Who you marry is
none of our business. Love and be in love -- it's a wonderful gift.
3. We will not spend your grandchildren's money on our personal whims or
to enrich our friends. It's your checkbook, too, and we will balance it
for you.
4. When we soon bring our sons and daughters home from Iraq, we will
bring your sons and daughters home, too. They deserve to live. We
promise never to send your kids off to war based on either a mistake or
a lie.
5. When we make America the last Western democracy to have universal
health coverage, and all Americans are able to get help when they fall
ill, we promise that you, too, will be able to see a doctor, regardless
of your ability to pay. And when stem cell research delivers treatments
and cures for diseases that affect you and your loved ones, we'll make
sure those advances are available to you and your family, too.
6. Even though you have opposed environmental regulation, when we clean
up our air and water, we, the Democratic majority, will let you, too,
breathe the cleaner air and drink the purer water.
7. Should a mass murderer ever kill 3,000 people on our soil, we will
devote every single resource to tracking him down and bringing him to
justice. Immediately. We will protect you.
8. We will never stick our nose in your bedroom or your womb. What you
do there as consenting adults is your business. We will continue to
count your age from the moment you were born, not the moment you were
conceived.
9. We will not take away your hunting guns. If you need an automatic
weapon or a handgun to kill a bird or a deer, then you really aren't
much of a hunter and you should, perhaps, pick up another sport. We will
make our streets and schools as free as we can from these weapons and we
will protect your children just as we would protect ours.
10. When we raise the minimum wage, we will pay you -- and your
employees -- that new wage, too. When women are finally paid what men
make, we will pay conservative women that wage, too.
11. We will respect your religious beliefs, even when you don't put
those beliefs into practice. In fact, we will actively seek to promote
your most radical religious beliefs ("Blessed are the poor," "Blessed
are the peacemakers," "Love your enemies," "It is easier for a camel to
go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom
of God," and "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of
mine, you did for me."). We will let people in other countries know that
God doesn't just bless America, he blesses everyone. We will discourage
religious intolerance and fanaticism -- starting with the fanaticism
here at home, thus setting a good example for the rest of the world.
12. We will not tolerate politicians who are corrupt and who are bought
and paid for by the rich. We will go after any elected leader who puts
him or herself ahead of the people. And we promise you we will go after
the corrupt politicians on our side FIRST. If we fail to do this, we
need you to call us on it. Simply because we are in power does not give
us the right to turn our heads the other way when our party goes astray.
Please perform this important duty as the loyal opposition.
I promise all of the above to you because this is your country, too. You
are every bit as American as we are. We are all in this together. We
sink or swim as one. Thank you for your years of service to this country
and for giving us the opportunity to see if we can make things a bit
better for our 300 million fellow Americans -- and for the rest of the
world.

Frothing up same-sex marriage to gain political points isn't quite the

First you need to deal with the *un*necessary wars.
5. When we make America the last Western democracy to have universal

Good thing, since none of us will have the ability to pay after you've taken
all of our money to pay for our "free" health care.
The US is the _last_ first world nation to have health care. Why do you
think Norway is listed as the best place on Earth to live? It isn't the
climate. You wind up paying more for not having heath care than you'd
pay if you had it. Doorknobs.
And when stem cell research delivers treatments

That was "protect", not "throw under a nu-clear bus".
8. We will never stick our nose in your bedroom or your womb. What you
do there as consenting adults is your business. We will continue to
count your age from the moment you were born, not the moment you were

It's nice that *some* "commie" ideas are appealing ;-)

No one wants your stupid gun. It's your retarded neighbour with the
drinking problem and the curious 4 year kid who should surrender the
weapons. Etc.
10. When we raise the minimum wage, we will pay you -- and your

Wal-Mart clerks don't make anywhere near $12.50 an hour. Enjoy.

Don't be silly. Practice at the frikkin' Wal-Mart for all I care.
Will you dispose of the traditions of public, ceremonial deism that are our
cultural heritage?
And what, exactly, is "our" cultural heritage? "...the number of
Protestants soon will slip below 50 percent of the nation's population."
- National Opinion Research Center's General Social Survey, 2004.
Isn't *everyone* in America free to worship (or not) as they choose?
12. We will not tolerate politicians who are corrupt and who are bought

Sorry, no deal.
Frothing up same-sex marriage to gain political points isn't quite the
ticket it used to be. In a few years the whole issue will be moot.
This gay marriage thing confuses me a lot more than the abortion thing
does. Abortion is a hot debate over when human life reaches a point
where it becomes an individual deserving of legal protection. I
personally don't support making it illegal because I think that is
just the path to dangerous illegal abortions, and support other ways
of reducing abortions, but I can see why there would be all kinds of
different positions taken on this issue.
But whether people of a different sexual orientation can choose to
legally link their lives together? Why should anyone but those
individuals really care? I certainly don't go getting freaked out at
other legal contracts people make, like their wills or whatever. When
I ask socially conservative friends about it, I get an answer that
frequently mentions a "homosexual agenda", and it seems something to
do with that is the hot button.
3. We will not spend your grandchildren's money on our personal whims or
to enrich our friends. It's your checkbook, too, and we will balance it
for you.
If you don't balance the *government's* checkbook by pillaging mine or by
reducing the safety of our national interests, go for it.
Heh, guess it's ok to run up debt but not to pay for it.
Can I do that too? These credit card companies don't really NEED my
money...
Who do you think is paying for this debacle? You and your children and
your children's children...I think Mr. Moore is being optimistic here,
but hey.
4. When we soon bring our sons and daughters home from Iraq, we will
bring your sons and daughters home, too. They deserve to live. We
promise never to send your kids off to war based on either a mistake or
a lie.
How about promising to send them off to a war when war is necessary to
defend our freedom?
I'd like to think that a necessary war would have people wanting to
enlist.
First you need to deal with the *un*necessary wars.
5. When we make America the last Western democracy to have universal
health coverage, and all Americans are able to get help when they fall
ill, we promise that you, too, will be able to see a doctor, regardless
of your ability to pay.
Good thing, since none of us will have the ability to pay after you've taken
all of our money to pay for our "free" health care.
If you won't require coverage to be made available for everyone to
even out the costs for everyone, outlaw health insurance companies
then. Right now we have a system that is horribly skewed, with people
that are actually ill but ininsurable having to pay far higher prices
for care than insurances do who get to cherry pick a lot of their
members. When I worked in an MD office the difference in the prices
paid was appalling to me.
But when you suggest reforms of any kind, a lot of Republicans with
insurance company lobbyists in their waiting rooms demur...I'd like to
see the money going to the campaign coffers spent on health care!
Even minor reforms get the stonewall. I was hoping to get some
Republicans interested in fixing some work disincentives that still
exist for people on Social Security Disability. Many want to make
*unlimited* work attempts, in the hope that one day a job or career
might "take", but can't do that unless they can keep their health care
coverage under Medicare. Even though the government would still be
paying for their health coverage, there might be a way to have some of
that paid or partially paid by eventual employer(s), and in any case
the cash benefit could wax and wane in its amount by how much the
disabled person was able to earn in a given month. The SSI program,
which is for people who did NOT pay into the system from enough prior
employment like SSDI folk did, has such a program already with
Medicaid.
Another reform I seem to be working on all by myself would stop the
discrimination for people with SSDI who get knocked off of their
Medicaid coverage by the small automatic cost of living increases in
their Social Security benefit every year. This happened to me and I
went from a $0 monthly deductible (sounds unfair but on a below
poverty level income it's not so unfair !) to $470, which I can't pay.
If I were on SSI there is an amendment to protect from this. Can't
get the same for SSDI, and I don't know why. I will probably
eventually die from this one.
But when you try to explain these situations, Repubs just scream
"socialized medicine!" and slam the door in your face! Some kind of
attention span problem, as I always thought Repubs were concerned with
things like the right to work.

none of our business. Love and be in love -- it's a wonderful gift.
So you're not willing to leave it up to a majority of voters in each state?
Sorry, no deal.
Frothing up same-sex marriage to gain political points isn't quite the
ticket it used to be. In a few years the whole issue will be moot.
This gay marriage thing confuses me a lot more than the abortion thing
does. Abortion is a hot debate over when human life reaches a point
where it becomes an individual deserving of legal protection. I
personally don't support making it illegal because I think that is
just the path to dangerous illegal abortions,
Right...with "pro-choice", the Mother's life counts.
and support other ways of reducing abortions, but I can see why there
would be all kinds of different positions taken on this issue.
All kinds, indeed. If "pro-life" means shooting people and bombing their
buildings, someone's missing the point.
It got stirred up by the WH as an election issue again, mostly to
placate the E-van-jellicals, I suspect. Doesn't that "agenda" thing
sound kind of paranoid? They're saying it by rote, just like they say
everything else. Seems like a lot of government interference, to not
much avail :-p
These credit card companies don't really NEED my
money...
Haaaha. It really is that simple. No!
I'd like to think that a necessary war would have people wanting to
enlist.
That they would.
First you need to deal with the *un*necessary wars.
5. When we make America the last Western democracy to have universal
health coverage, and all Americans are able to get help when they fall
ill, we promise that you, too, will be able to see a doctor, regardless
of your ability to pay.
Good thing, since none of us will have the ability to pay after you've
taken all of our money to pay for our "free" health care.
No kidding. It takes 10s of millions to buy er, win a Senate seat.
Even minor reforms get the stonewall. I was hoping to get some
Republicans interested in fixing some work disincentives that still
exist for people on Social Security Disability. Many want to make
*unlimited* work attempts, in the hope that one day a job or career
might "take",
The odds are that it would...
but can't do that unless they can keep their health care coverage under
Medicare.
Bah. I think that's true here for some things, if not health care; which
is slow, but covered.
Even though the government would still be paying for their
health coverage, there might be a way to have some of that paid or
partially paid by eventual employer(s), and in any case the cash benefit
could wax and wane in its amount by how much the disabled person was able
to earn in a given month. The SSI program, which is for people who did
NOT pay into the system from enough prior employment like SSDI folk did,
has such a program already with Medicaid.
Some kind of
attention span problem,
Nawww :-) their mouths have been programmed to operate without engaging
their brain cell. All of this is scary. That is a lot of explaining...
but some answers are crucial. Maybe some charts *would* help! I guess
they'd all ***** bricks if you just screamed "socialized medicine!"
before they do. I hope the change in government will help you make a
dent in a few of those stupid laws.
as I always thought Repubs were concerned with things like the right to
work.
Instead of being forced not to.
Hey, that last Congress worked about 90 measley days out of the whole
stinkin' year...and got pay raises *with* all the porks, I mean perks.

No! I'm celebrating the BushCo intervention!
America woke up!
FYI, Thanksgiving was on October the 9th here, and *naturally* the
Holiday has nothing to do with those sociopathic whack-jobs who were
kicked out of England and the Netherlands back in the 1600s. It's more
like a Harvest Festival, with friends, family, and food.
Happy Thanksgiving!

After Much Chewing of Cud and Cogitation, (Dee) Spat
the Words
For Danny, from Micheal Moore's web site:
http://www.petitiononline.com/mmflint/petition.html
A Liberal's Pledge to Disheartened Conservatives
To: Conservatives and Republicans
I, and my fellow signatories, hereby make these promises to you:
1. We will always respect you for your conservative beliefs. We will
never, ever, call you "unpatriotic" simply because you disagree with us.
In fact, we encourage you to dissent and disagree with us.
2. We will let you marry whomever you want, even when some of us

Thank you for your years of service to this country
and for giving us the opportunity to see if we can make things a bit
better for our 300 million fellow Americans -- and for the rest of the
world.

Hmm...interesting theory. And it ranks right up there with Nancy
