Well, on the 4th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, American troops are
between the veritable Rock and Hard Place. Not only are they still
waiting for that protective gear they were promised a couple of years ago
(among other renegged promises), but now it appears that 51% of the Iraqi
population (that's the majority, for the math challenged) call it
"acceptable" to attack U.S. forces. Even worse, that's tipped by a
'nearly unanimous' level of Sunnis who call it acceptable. For those not
paying attention, they're the 'good guys' who are NOT getting any sympathy
from the Shiites in Iran ....

Our guys (and girls) appear to be the well protected ones
(living behind bunkers, sleeping in defended barracks). The
poor Iraqi civilians are practically defenseless against
marketplace bombings, kidnappings and torture, etc. Now
it appears the various factions are starting to use gas
to kill people. This whole situation is almost unbearable
to watch.. especially since this kind of societal chaos
did not exist before US troops moved in.
