We're taking bets here in Washington State on which direction the Space =
Needle will fall. I bet it will fall southward on the downtown 4th =
Avenue area.=20

I love disaster flicks - they are usually just the right balance of camp, idiocy
and brainlessness for a Friday night! (I'll tape it and save it for a Friday
night - if someone here reminds me that it's on. I only watch one hour of TV a
week, and it's not on a broadcast network ...)

The first half was pretty boring IMO, but the second half, on tonight at 9
pm Pacific on ch. 5 will be the BIG one. Hopefully, the SFX will make up
for the tedium I watched last night. Seattle has never been featured in
any kind of disaster movie, so we Apple Heads will be watching to see what
happens to it.

Thanks.
I actually remembered to watch it. Yeah, it was bad, but fun. The chasm
following the train tracks until it finally sucked down the train pretty much
empitomizes the whole, overdone, thing. Loved them calling out the richter
scale ratings like they were on the bridge of the Enterprise yelling out warp
speed numbers - LOL! Man, they must have had someone in rehad doing their
writing for them!
Yup, great stuff to MST3K, which is what disaster flicks are all about! ;-)

MST3K would have a field day with this one! I sure did! I found myself
laughing even more as Fred Ward was rushing from site to site along the
West Coast lowering nukes into deep drilled holes, and then getting penned
under one (after a tremor). Kim Delaney looked like she had just gotten
up early from an all-night drunken party--all through the flick! Great
campy potential in this one, but's it's too damn long for MST3K...maybe
editing will make it even funnier?
