After September 11, 2001, the notion that Nostradamus might have
predicted that day's events in the US began to form in the minds
of his 21st century commentators. No, I am not referring to these
phoney quatrains, invented by God knows who, for God knows what
purpose; I am referring to the finding by another author that a
few quatrains spoke of a certain Annibal.

Nothing special about this, you might say. Prior to September 11,
2001, indeed, this reference to Annibal was not particularly
telling. But upon closer scrutiny, the name Hannibal properly
spelled does not allow the cryptic anagram (T)ALIBAN to be
formed, whereas the spelling Annibal does.

With this clue in mind, it became a little less hasardous to
attempt a link between these "Annibal" quatrains and the 9/11
events. Here is quatrain II-30:

There is of course a lot of fear and horror in this meaningful
gobbledygook, but nothing suggesting an event occurring in the
US. Only if the text is decyphered does the horror of 9/11 begin
to appear:

--------- qui frira tant d'Amys de la chère France, ----------
--------- mon Paris dira : « Ô quelle horreur si exacte ------
--------- qu'aura si bien tirée Oussama Ben Laden ! » --------

The irony of this text becomes apparent only if 9/11 is compared
to August 13, 2017, when Paris is unintentionally fried by an
exact shot from her friend, the US. Here, Nostradamus draws the
parallel between the very precise terrorist attack upon the US
and the equally precise attack by the US upon Paris.

In modern English, with asterisks between words no longer spelled
or used thus: 'In Two Thousand and *One*, when the US has the
Arabic Hell which shall fry so many *Friends* of the dear France,
my Paris shall say: "Oh the so exact horror which would have so
well fired Oussama Ben Laden!"'

Clever, eh, this Nostradamus?!

Interesting anagram for Taliban, but also "Bin Ladin" is also a good
anagram for "Annibal" with only one letter changed. Either way, it
seems like Italy is a target.
