Mondo! So did I. It was Hell on Earth. Some of the 'teachers' were
nuns with a nasty habit of poking you hard with bony fingers.

I know what you mean.. a nun once pushed me into a wall in a hallway
when I was in Catholic school. She pushed me, then held me there and
frantically screamed in my face. Apparently she found a note I wrote
to a boy and she lost her mind over it. She literally got violent on
me. The day after, my mum went down to the school and explicitly
warned the whacked out bat to NEVER lay a hand on her daughter again
or she'd sorely regret it.

Education was adjusted in order that Religious Dogma could be
accomodated. It's one of the primary causes for my rejection of all
things Devine.

I don't have a "rejection of all things divine" as you say above, but
I found years ago, that having Catholicism spoon fed to me literally
since the day I was born was something I grew to reject. I just don't
agree with all the rules, and the high standards we're supposed to
live up to. Just too strict; and some, impossible - some outright
ridiculous.
For example: homosexuality as an abomination and they're "going to
hell" just didn't jive right with me. Marriage for life (even if
you're miserable!) didn't sound right either. I watched my parents
stay in an unhappy marriage for the most part of my childhood (oh and
they're *still* married to this day...unhappily). And I've seen gay
couples that couldn't be more comfortable in their own skin, or be any
more happier.
Now wouldn't God want us to be happy?
There's definitely things I find questionable, and others I flat out
disagree with in the Catholic faith.. but I do have a core belief that
God and Jesus (and Heaven) are real.

Oh I went to Catholic school, too.. not for my entire 12 years (I got
out of it in junior high when I started to form opinions different
from my parents and went to public high school ..THANK GOD!)

I'm sorry, hms Dani, but APN once caught my interest.

Right.. but now seeing as you think this place "sucks" - why do you
stick around? That makes no sense to me. It's like going to a job
you absolutely loathe every single day but never getting paid a red
cent.

You have a strange obsession with WH.. you've shown a steady pattern
of this for quite some time now. You should just move on, sorry, he's
not gay.

I know.

How do you know?

Oh! And thank you so much for your post about his drinking. We should
all remember him in our prayers.

You're such a sniveling little ***** bag.. I hope you run into WH in a
dark alley somewhere in Sweden one of these nights, and then try
saying the same to his face. The only part I'll regret is not being
there to witness the aftermath.

How very Christian of you. What is your problem?

I never visit Malmö anyway. That city is lost to the muslims.

I don't really care. What I find ironic is the way you went after

and you made an issue of the fact WH isn't gay, as if having an

He's tried, but the crayons keep breaking.

To be on a little more serious, if he wrote one, I would read it. It
would be 'interesting' to see his life philosophy synopsized in his own
words.

Bush would probably run out of words after 1 or 2 paragraphs. It's
sort of like Ronald Reagan trying to talk nuclear disarmament
with Gorbachev at Reykjavik, Iceland in 1986. I'm sure at
least 5 minutes were devoted to arms talks, then Reagan
probably began 3 hours of old Hollywood stories. You just
can't change the basic nature of an animal that easily.

Typical leftist simpleton that you are, you continue to underestimate
Reagan. The irony is that you, simpleton, couldn't hold a candle to
Reagan and his accomplishments.

Are you talking about the same Reagan the rest of us are?!? He was so out
of it that he called soldiers' uniforms "costumes", for crying out loud!
Not to mention the fact that *everyone* actually believed Reagan when he
claimed to have no knowledge of the Iran-Contra nonsense.

When I think of Reagan, I think of old dusty cowboy boots, mangy horses,
and barns stinking with horse ***** and flies.
Old boring Westerns and crappy B-flicks. 20 mule teams. Death Valley.
Boraxo.
Greasy dark hair. Craggy face. Home-spun anecdotes.
And a repeating phrase echoes in my memories...
"Well, there he goes again."
I don't know why I think this, but I just do. :))~

Stephen thinking Reagan was smart is another indicator of
just how 'out of it' Stephen really is.
Reagan simultaneously raising military spending and cutting
taxes was another indicator of just how 'out of it' Reagan
really was. At the end of his 2nd term home prices in many

Reagan simultaneously raising military spending and cutting
taxes was another indicator of just how 'out of it' Reagan

Do you have any idea what condition the military was in when Reagan
took office? And by the way, revenue to the government went up (not
down) during Reagan's terms in office.

At the end of his 2nd term home prices in many
areas were actually falling below their loan amount (something
which is so rare that it virtually never happens), and small
businesses were going bust in record numbers.

Property values went through a temporary correction after rising
quickly during Reagan's terms. But that correction didn't happen until
two years after Reagan left office. The economy is cyclical, you know?
Something similar happened at the end of Clinton's terms, when the
tech bubble burst.
As for small businesses going bust in record numbers, how many of
those were created during the good times of Reagan's boom economy --
on the heels of Carter's malaise?

He turned our economy upside-down just so he could play the
military king with the USSR.

Thank God Reagan turned Jimmy Carter's malaise upside down.

Trickle-Down Economics ? I think VooDoo Economics is
more apt.

How original. Did you think that up all by yourself?

Why hasn't President Bush written one?

He's tried, but the crayons keep breaking.

To be on a little more serious, if he wrote one, I would read
it.
It would be 'interesting' to see his life philosophy synopsized
in his own words.

Typical leftist simpleton that you are, you continue to
underestimate Reagan. The irony is that you, simpleton, couldn't
hold a candle to Reagan and his accomplishments.

Are you talking about the same Reagan the rest of us are?!?

I don't know. Aren't we all talking about Ronald Wilson Reagan, the
40th President of the United States of America?

He was so out
of it that he called soldiers' uniforms "costumes", for crying out
loud! Not to mention the fact that *everyone* actually believed
Reagan
when he claimed to have no knowledge of the Iran-Contra nonsense.

I know. It's always amazed me the way you wacky leftists think Reagan
was not only a certified idiot, but he was also the grand mastermind
of Iran-Contra. How could he possibly be both?

That's funny.. using 'Grand Mastermind' to describe Reagan.
Reagan could do *Bedtime for Bonzo* like nobody's business.

I think I made it pretty clear that Reagan didn't have the brain power
to "mastermind" anything, rather, that he was so weak-minded that
Congress actually believed that he didn't have a clue that it was even
going on.

You're probably the only person in here that considers being
addle-minded an "accomplishment".

Let's not forget that Reagan was undoubtedly more politically astute than
the one-and-half term governor-actor, Schwarzeneggar. He didn't have
Arnie's braun, but he was just a wee bit smarter. I will give him that
much credit. LOL! Let's try to be fair. :))~

On what would you base a comparison between Ronnie and Arnold ?
How have you determined Ronnie was 'wee bit smarter' than Arnold ?
Clearly neither one of them is (was) stupid.
Ronnie was likeable, but erudite he was not. 'Political astuteness'
as with most disciplines requires years, even a lifetime, of
dedication. Some people have the knack right out of the box, while
others (like GWB) try hard but never do get the hang of it. Usually
a serious study of the law, the Constitution, and the history of
our country is a pre-requisite to a deeper understanding of how
to be an effective administrator in the US Executive office. I
somehow doubt Reagan or GWB ever do (did) any serious reading.
This is why GWB appears to be such a duck out of water when
it comes to actual diplomacy. Bush just wants what he wants
then he tries to squeeze people to perform for him.. zero diplomacy..
and the only 'selling' he seems to be any good at is just
fear-mongering, frightening people with horror stories about
mushroom clouds and suicide bombers in our streets.

Well, for one thing, The Great Communicator (lol!) was 'smart enough' to
be a native-born American who qualified for a run for the Presidency.
Arnie's fans are trying to get the Constitutional law changed to get their

Uh...Perseid...I was making a sardonic joke here. Neither of them are
worth a ***** as intelligent, wise leaders...a bit clever, congenial, and
slippery, as many politicians typically are, but they both leave me cold.
Bush is another character whose qualifications for the Oval Office were
sparse. At least his daddy spent a long time in national politics (the
House), and was the head of the CIA. Junior's claim to the Presidency
rides on 5 nondescript years as Texas' governor. Leaders have increasingly
been chosen because they're slickly packaged by media manipulators,
financed by huge amounts of corporate money, and shoved into the faces of
Americans 24/7... it's more like selling the inferior VHS tape format over
the Sony Beta one, as an example, of how intense PR and slick delivery can
get the public (consumers) to buy something inferior!! LOL! The same goes
for leaders these days. If it hadn't been for CNN's revolutionary non-stop
news channel being created (which set off a popular me-too trend), we'd
still be seeing more of the candidates face-to-face, in more 'real' and
'personal' situations. Now, we see them remotely in interviews, debates,
and soundbytes -- then watch their own glib self-promotions fill the
airwaves.
It's all a big fucking, silly show, for a hungry entertainment-oriented
audience that knows little about, or cares about, the substance of the
leaders they vote for, nor understands the depth of more complex issues.
Whoever has the best personality, talks and walks trendily, looks sexy or
cute, or acts (and that's the word!) like the stereotypical images we see
in movies and TV programs (like Bush's 'bring it on' tough stance that
gave neocons orgasms)...is usually the guy or gal most likely to get to
the top of the heap.
The so-called election process has become a cruel joke -- just another
source of amusement and entertainment for many. It's become like some bad
'reality series'.

I hear you. Of course, the citizenship issue isn't really a
behavioral or intelligence difference.. it's just a fact of
birth. I don't think Arnold really ever planned to be a public
official, but he does seem to stay focused on what is going
to benefit his constituents (can't say the same for many other
republicans). Maybe his supporters would like to change the
US Constitution to allow him a shot at the US Executive office.
Arnold strikes me as the kind of guy who would always do what
is the best thing for the people he governs, and causing a
Constitutional crisis or division is not something he would do.
He is an appealing candidate for an executive position though.

I couldn't have said that better myself doc. Our founding fathers
never envisioned 'political action committees' (PACS) or special
interest lobbiests who could buy votes if they have enough money
and access to the politicians. Our country was founded on some
great ideas, but then the reality of all the moving parts sets
in and we got what we have today. It's fortunate our Supreme Court
members have the intrinsic requirements of degreed learning and
a lifetime of legal / judicial service or they too would become
just as susceptible to the monied interests. Taking the money
motive out of our national politics is a great idea, but then
we end up with unqualified, uninterested, unmotivated people
running our country.

I certainly HOPE I will never be like Ronnie or you, Stephen.
B-Grade movies and a troubled political legacy are not much
to be proud of. Your hero Ronald Reagan, through his economic
policies (or lack thereof), made sure that your children will
never have as high a standard of living as you do. Ronnie
figured out a way to bend you over, ream you in the *****, take
all your money and give it to his wealthy buddies, and leave
you feeling like you've benefitted greatly.. and you bought
their bill of lies, hook, line, and sinker. Congratulations
Stevie, you've just been butt-fucked without even getting
kissed (and you didn't complain even once).

Why hasn't President Bush written one?

He's tried, but the crayons keep breaking.

To be on a little more serious, if he wrote one, I would read

it.

It would be 'interesting' to see his life philosophy

synopsized

in his own words.

I know. It's always amazed me the way you wacky leftists think

Reagan

was not only a certified idiot, but he was also the grand mastermind
of Iran-Contra. How could he possibly be both?

That's funny.. using 'Grand Mastermind' to describe Reagan.
Reagan could do *Bedtime for Bonzo* like nobody's business.

If that was all he ever did, you might have a point. You'll never hold
a candle to Reagan and his accomplishments, will you?

I certainly HOPE I will never be like Ronnie or you, Stephen.
B-Grade movies and a troubled political legacy are not much
to be proud of. Your hero Ronald Reagan, through his economic
policies (or lack thereof), made sure that your children will
never have as high a standard of living as you do.

Lack thereof? Were you around for Jimmy Carter's malaise? Would you
have preferred to remain in that sickly economy?

Ronnie figured out a way to bend you over, ream you in the
*****, take all your money and give it to his wealthy buddies,

How do you figure he *took* my money and gave it to his wealthy
buddies? Please explain.

and leave you feeling like you've benefitted greatly.. and
you bought their bill of lies, hook, line, and sinker.

After Carter's malaise, I did benefit greatly during Reagan's
presidency. Sorry if you continued to wallow in the malaise, but you
shouldn't think your situation speaks for everyone.

Congratulations Stevie, you've just been butt-fucked
without even getting kissed (and you didn't complain
even once).

What is it with you and your fascination for same-sex scenarios? Are
you gay?

Under Reagan we witnessed the largest shift of wealth from
the working class slobs like you and me to the ultra wealthy
of any time in our history. I know you're out of touch some
times, but are you just now hearing about this ? Kevin Philips
wrote a book, "Politics of Rich and Poor: Wealth and the
American Electorate in the Reagan Aftermath". Get it, read
it, and understand, Stephen.
Reagan ensured that you and the next 10 generations of your
family are going to pay for that shiny new aircraft carrier
and for the new Lamborghini his billionaire buddy bought
with the tax cut he gave them. The same guy you're defending
and speaking so highly of took a large, smelly dump on you
and your entire family lineage for the next 200 years.

Oh I see, it's all about the politics of class envy. I've never been
especially fond of the emotion of envy. I try to avoid it.

Yes, I know all about it. You can buy it on Amazon for $0.01 -- that's
one cent, plus shipping. And in this case, I don't think the price of
shipping is worth it.

Speak for yourself, Randolph. What I remember is are the sky high
interest rates under Jimmy Carter's malaise. I remember that terrible
economy. I remember things got a lot better during the 1980s. What I
don't remember is anyone *taking* money away from me to give to
someone else. You haven't explained that yet. I saw no money get taken
out of my bank account and transferred to someone else. Please explain
what you're talking about, in detail. And don't quote some guy with an
opinion that you've adopted as your own. Explain to me how *my* money
was transferred out of my bank account and into someone else's bank
account.

Yes, but that doesn't explain your ongoing fascination with same-sex
