The 'Six Nations' Indian Band are currently in a court battle (that
they call a "Reclaim Of The Land Of Their Ancestors".) - in Southern
Ontario.
- they claim that their Ancestorial Leaders did not agree to giving
this land to the Canadian 'British Crown Controlled' Government at the
time.
Is this a typical use of the commonly 'referred to' term of "Inidian
Giver" (someone who makes an Agreement - and then rescinds on the
"Terms Of Those Agreements") .
[ The 'Mohawk' Indian Band (who oversaw this Land Trade), seen to
think SO !!! ]
the chief of the Mohawk tribe died this month.
I wonder who will take his place now
OR
Possibly a 'Land Grab' by the Ontario Government - over a poorly
written 'Crown' Treaty
OR
Just a 'Power Play' - for land that meant nothing THEN - and means a
lot more NOW ???
Which 'North American' Indian Band actually held 'Title" to this this
land ?
[ And which Tribal Leader made "Agreements" (with the then Canadian
Government) - as to the trading of these lands. ]
I am not saying either side is RIGHT (at least not right now).
But, Until this "Land Trade" can be verified by the Canadian
Government, this problem will not be resolved.
Just A Thought Of Resolution.

PS: And will these (modern day 'Donald Trump' wannabee) Warriors of
the 'Six Nations' Tribe - HONOUR the 'Treaties' of their Ancestors ???
I used to have a beautiful Mohawk-brand carpet in my house.
