Power, as in the Bush junta, as in no other, becoming purely Evil....is
a risky venture. Those who are Ignorant, ie. Guernon, the Village
Idiot of APN, Steven, Dreamer, Tony (who seemingly has disappeared for
reasons unknown - lol), or other lesser ignorant fools, are comforted
by the lies of the "Power"...yet they feel threatened by the
truth....And unfortunately for them, eh, Perseid, is that the world is
aware of what's going on. People realize now that the media is
manipulated...ie. the pulling down of the Statue of Saddam was
orchestrated....the
"Mission Accomplished", was orchestrated, as was Bush, the only
President in History to appear in military garb, the "consensus" that
Civil war has not already erupted in Iraq, etc..., and so forth.
America has shot it's wad in Iraq....No threats against Iran, or
Hezbollah have any meaning at all. America is no longer a Super
Power....So Go Ahead, Punk...Make my day...so to speak...If the U.S.
bombs IRAN, as has been it's intention, after all this....then, ...
well, they will have crossed the Rubicon....and almost certainly ended
American Hegemony over World Geopolitics.

Albertans frequently don't like 'Easterners', period and you can't
blame them! They were screwed out of plenty of oil money with the
National Energy Policy years ago. They have usually been on the wrong
side of the Parliment, being the most conservative province in Canada.
They have seen the vast majority of Prime ministers come out of Quebec
(including my pre-Harper favourite, Brian Mulroney) and bend over
backward to kiss Quebec's ***** (and spread $$ around there) at every
opportunity. Now, with oil prices skyrocketing, they are fearful that
the central govt may again try to highjack oil revenues. Alberta and
Ontario are also the two provinces that pay through the nose via taxes
to keep the poorer provinces afloat.
Personally, I enjoy visiting Quebec. I grew up there and I am used to
the culture, which is a lot looser than the rest of Canada (when I
moved to Ontario at 17, I thought it was the most uptight,
anal-retentive place imaginable...it has since mellowed). However,
Alberta is my favourite and if they would build a GM plant there, my
transfer would be in tomorrow! Some say Alberta has more in common
with Montana than it does with Eastern Canada. It may be the first
province to jump ship.

Oh, I enjoyed Alberta. The transCanada highway up to Jasper was beautiful. I've seen a lot of
country but that had to be the most breathtaking scenery ever. It really does put Glacier National
Park to shame. I rode from Wisconsin through Glacier then up to Jasper and over to Prince George.
The rest of my journey was spent traveling the coastal areas of the western US. Next year I'll be
camping out on the deck of an inner passage ferry. I'll make the trip by ferry to Alaska and ride
the motorcycle back down through Yukon, BC, and Alberta. I should probably see the glaciers and
whales before they all disappear because of global warming.......wink........wink.

Yes, oil...and water (though, since we expect fresh produce from the US

Which flag? Both are beauties.
I'd say that it would be best to create a whole new flag, if we were to
have the US and Canada unite into a new country. (This assumes that
individual provinces don't decide to secede from Canada and join the US).
I prefer the Canadian flag, myself. It's clean and simple, and it doesn't
require a retooling every time you add a province. ;-)

How about three equally sized squares, red, white in the middle then blue.
In the middle white square you can have a maple leaf and a Big Mac.

Yes, oil...and water (though, since we expect fresh produce from the
US
in January, we have to be willing to share our water when the time
comes)...but the US has the means to defend us that we do not have. I
would say it is a symbiotic relationship.
Were it up to me, I'd say "What the hell, let's unite".

Which flag? Both are beauties.
I'd say that it would be best to create a whole new flag, if we were to
have the US and Canada unite into a new country.
How about three equally sized squares, red, white in the middle then
blue.
In the middle white square you can have a maple leaf and a Big Mac.
LOL, but it would have to be a McGriddle. (Ever try one of those - ewww!)

Now I MUST have one for breakfast tomorrow.

From mouth to toilet it's a 5 minute wait for McDee's food. Unless your like eric and enjoy
explosive diarreha, save yourself the 5 minutes by standing over the toilet and allowing the
wrapper's contents to drop in .
BTW, Have you had their new coffee? It's not bad.........really!
