Object: Spot the Loonies!
I'd just like to take a poll of all those newsgroups to which I
subscribe. What I'd like to know is who you would nominate within
your newsgroup to be a certified lunatic, totally off the deep
end, hitting the rubber matted walls, gonzo.
After the certified loonies are accounted for, I suggest next the
'disgruntled yet disarmed' group, followed by the 'amoral
atheistic (in)humanistic variety, with the 'agnostic skepticists'
in tow, followed by downright Xians much like myself, dammit.
Spot the Loonie! Cash awards and prizes of various value, none of
any actual worth at grabs!

One might as well take such a poll in an asylum.

There are two kinds of people in this world... those who think that
there are two kinds of people in this world, and those who don't.

Back in 1964 when I was having my two week vacation in the assylum -- there
were two STAR LOONIES that stood out the most even today I can clearly
visualize them -- Luther the cigarette addict that had a heat stroke and Claude
Wheeler the habitual masterbation
addict. Remind me to tell you all about them in sometime.

Oh, goodness Dan -NO CHARGE TO YOU- just post your snail
mail here on the NG and I'llsend you a pre-release autographed
copy of the book for free. I'll even pay the Canadian book
import taxes on it and the International postage too!!!
It would already be online in eBook format but, I did not get
done with it as expected today. I got to high and dropped
a burning roach in the palm of my left hand and had to go

Guilty as charged, but only in a way. And I know how I'm 'pegged'
by 'certain others' as well, i.e. religious zealot, bigot,
loudmouthed, hypocrite, intolerant, ignorant, self-righteous,
loon, Jesuit, disruptor, f**king *****, uncompromising, yadda
yadda yadda. It's all good, dog. Some are deserved, most not, in
my view.
What I was really trying to do, in a twisted sort of way, was to
point out that even though we all have our 'angles', 'slants on
issues', thus necessarily pigeon-holing ourselves (which isn't a
bad thing in itself), that we're bound to disagree with each
other on almost any given point with others. And there's
certainly nothing wrong with criticizing others for professing
their beliefs, depending on what you yourself belief. Otherwise,
half the point, and fun of being here is gone. We don't come here
to be admired, I would hope anyways, only to be heard.
The only thing I cannot tolerate is intolerance, that someone, no
matter what their belief happens to be, no matter how wrong we
perceive them to be, has no right to be saying them here in the
first place. And if I recall Hyena, you're the only one who fits
that description as far as what I myself had to say.

It didn't, and it won't work. Too obvious. You really should

Cool to be able to have a place to go to be like all of that and not get
punched in the mouth. :-)

Or maybe come here to get challenged, educated, changed, exposed, or exposed
to something new. You have to wonder how many folks are actually "driven"
to usenet by any sort of humility instead of uncompromising, unchanging ego.
Or maybe some of us live in such spiritually and intellectually barren areas
we have to go 'international' for a little stimulation. :-)
