Really, I need to ask the question...are these the same people? The
positions that Stephen Douglas takes seem eerily similar to that other
nutjob, DW...Not too many nutjobs believe that somehow the North
Vietnamese didn't defeat America.

No, they're definitely too different people. DW
was more a conservative biker type, Steven seems
more the crew-cut brownshirt type.

(he's definitely post-graduate hitler youth)

I've probably posted more anti-Hitler posts on this group than anyone I
can think of, and I am firmly pro-Israel and pro-Jew. Yet there are
outspoken anti-Jew posters on this group you'd never dream of labeling
the way you just falsely labeled me. All this name calling coming from
supposed "good" liberals reminds me of tactics you supposed "good"
liberals decry in the over-the-top style of some conservatives who have
posted here. Hypocrites of the supposed "good" liberal persuasion,
aren't you?

Right over your head. As usual .... 9_9

Nope. When someone decides to associate me with Hitler, that's not
going over my head by any means. I was going to let your snide little
remark slide until this other idiot decided to paint me with the Hitler
brush. That's not going to stand under any circumstances.

What did you think 'crew-cut brown-shirt' was referring to...
Captain Kangaroo ?

It was one of those generalized taunts libs love to freely toss around,
and I took it with a grain of salt. I would have ignored it if you
hadn't come along and amplfied it into a specific and glaringly
inappropriate insult.

She was talking about the extremist nationalistic
views you neocons have become so fond of...

You hypocrite! Do you remember what you had to say recently about the
ports? Here, let me remind you:
Perseid wrote:

... did you hear what Bush said about
the UAE ? "Oh, they're SUCH good friends... oh, they've been
a vital ally... in fact they gave me personal assurance of
their good intentions." <arabic accent> "Allow us to play in
your ports. Open your ports to us and let us, slip, inside.
Not even a single, small bomb, will come in the large shipping
containers. We know it's impossible to search all the thousands
of shipping containers, and this is why you have our guarantee."

I feel so safe now. I'm glad I don't live in a coastal city.

I remember the first time I read that, I thought about responding to
call you on the racist overtone in your remarks. I let it slide then,
but not now. For the way you presented yourself in those remarks, I'm
now calling you a nationalistic racist pig for your deliberate
condescending, demeaning attitude toward a country just because they're
Arabs. Not only that, you're a *hypocrite* of the first order. But then
you think all you have to do is "call" yourself a liberal, and that
automatically makes you a good person. Right, hypocrite?

the kind of views which
launched nazi germany onto the path of war in the 1930's.

You're a weak intellect like eric, so of course you failed to respond
to my specific point -- which was: I've probably posted more
anti-Hitler posts on this group than anyone I can think of, and I am
firmly pro-Israel and pro-Jew. Yet there are outspoken anti-Jew posters
on this group you'd never dream of labeling the way you falsely labeled
me. All this name calling coming from supposed "good" liberals reminds
me of tactics you supposed "good" liberals decry in the over-the-top
style of some conservatives who have posted here. Right now, you're
about the biggest hypocrite posting to this group. Congratulations,
hypocrite!

OK ... well 'logic' from his perspective.
I find it easier to 'see' his viewpoint by his presentation of points as
opposed to the way some of the more rabid righties present arguments.
I'm not saying I agree with any or all of his points, but at least it's
a starting point for discussion.
Honestly, I think he's a good sport and I'm glad he posts here.

I didn't want the Vietnam War to continue. I wanted the North
Vietnamese to abide by the peace accord they signed, and stop trying to
enslave the free people of South Vietnam. But you don't care about
people staying free, do you? Do you know what happened to many, many
people in South Vietnam when the Communists took over? Do you CARE what
happened to those people? There are some horrific stories, yet you'll
gladly overlook those stories and point fingers at someone like me who
wanted to protect those people.
There is a place in California known as Little Saigon. Please, if you
ever have a chance, go there and ask the older people how they feel
about Communism. And if you dare say how happy you were that their
freedom was abolished by Communists, run.

That's it!!

And I still can't stand Bill O'Reilly and Bush is the worst president
ever and he's still got 3 years of screw ups to go!!

ITA. Although, I do have some small hope that the
recent ports debacle has been the last straw with
the moderate Republicans, and Bush may well have
lost his ability to screw anything else up. One
can hope ...

"Mr. Douglas is much more reserved and backs his arguments more logically."
"more logical" (than Dreamwalker) was his words.... which is somewhat
ambiguious to say the least....

It's the mis-spelled name he was referring to! I used to spell it that way
sometimes, too, then he mentioned it to someone else and I realized I was in
error.
He is not dreamwalker, though.
