Object: Strange Guernon Message About Drugs
Perhaps unnoticed by many APNers was Jean Guernon's very strange, detailed
reply to Mondo's post under the heading, "Don't Worry, Be Happy..."
In the thread, Mondo innocently mentioned drugs, replying to Guernon --

Happiness is found to be most closely associated with health, followed by
wealth and then education. --(Guernon)

Then there are others that would say hapiness is more closesly associated
with SEX, DRUGS, and ROCK AND ROLL!!!! --(mondo)
Guernon responded --
That was a concept of the counter-culture, mainly in the 80's adn the
90's,
in developped states where health, wealth and education are already
implemented. If you are sick, poor and ignorant, there is no means for
sex,
or (recreational) drugs. Not even sure if rock'n roll is of any interest.
Besides, Sex, drugs and rock'n roll may be joy, but they are not
happiness.
J.
Mondo (mukyuk) countered --
I didn't realize there was a difference. I thought joy and hapiness was
the
same thing. When one feels joy, they are happy.
'Having fun' is not always happiness thought. Being drunk is having fun,
but
it doesn't make you happy the next day when you have a terrible hangover.
Guernon --
You answer your own question.
Mondo --
I didn't realize I asked a question. What question did you think I asked?
Guernon launches into an unusually detailed reply on the drug aspect --
Way of speaking. You commented on the difference, saying there was none,
and then some with the legal recreational drug. But if you want me to dot
the
i's, in fact some drugs are very powerful and can give true bliss for a
while (almost each drug can be appropriate under a particular set of
circumstance for a specific lenght of time, but even the best ones do not
last in benefit for that long, the brain is made to react to natural
stimuli, and even with the best of drugs, after a while (say, a month) it
will either be contented so much it will not act like it would otherwise,
or
it will get (physiologically) addicted (with bad drugs) or
(psychologically)
accustomed (with less bad drugs), and will require more of the substance
to
continue to process everything. Exceptions being psychedelics, but even
LSD
cannot be taken more that once a week as the cell get depleted of a key
element (adrenochrome) that takes a week to regenerate. Happiness is not
articficial. I wish! But the treaties of Hoffman on alcaloïds are quite
fascinating nonetheless. And as for the rest, sex by iteself doesn't
replace
love and sometimes Chopin (for instance) can be more appropriate than
rock'n
roll. But hey, for those who do not have the happiness they deserve, it
may
be better to "feel joy" once in a while, than be depressed... Keep also in
mind about some drugs that, for a category of people (especially old
folks),
and for which biologists invented valium in the past, there is now a
better
way to address spleen with less bliss perhaps, but with less side effects
as
well, since the use of the brain to produce itself the molecules (prozac
family). But even with these relatively new kind of drugs that will work
fine to a cetain extent for a while, they must be used to solve the inner
problem while they allow one not to ne overwhelmed, since stopping them
puts
one back where one was. These were more used and abused than ever in
2006...
The difference between joy and happiness is obvious put in such a context,
no?
J.
Then, at one point, I step into the discussion and state --
It appears you're not talking about psychotropic drug usage garnered
exclusively from academic knowledge, but also from personal experience.

After my remark, no response from Guernon came back -- uncharacteristic of
him, considering the implication in my remark, and his long, well-known
seething hatred of me.
Just eerie silence ...

He's been absorbed with himself for a long time. He's not a genius. He's

That's what I believe, but I have no verifiable evidence...LOL!!!

Yes, I am obsessed, I will admit. All creative artists worth a ***** in
their field usually are, or didn't you know that fact, Jeano? Probably
not, even though you are obsessed yourself, as any experienced person can
see, but really aren't particularly creative, just rather ego-driven and
tenacious.

Then you wonder why one ignore your posts.

How do you know which posts they READ or ignore? I read many posts I never
respond to, and I'm sure others do, too. Response doesn't necessarily mean
it's been read more, Jeano, you dummy.

I don't read what you write half of the time, that is why.

No, I believe you, because at least half the time you're enjoying hearing
yourself chatter.

You are a liar and a con artist.

Con artists are always trying to get material gain -- Nostradamus exegists
are trying to get ego gain. Everybody's always wanting something from
somebody. No one is satisfied with what they have for themselves. It all
balances out on the plane of insane human endeavor. Since I get no
material gain, though, that makes me a very self-defeating con artist. I
am into satirc humor because I get a boner entertaining folks, making them
laugh, and interacting with them.
That's why I was born...I am sure of it. Why were you born? Huh?
You demonstrate here though that you are

not here to suidcuss the subject, just to sneak info about the people
that you will use to make your lies.

Make my humor, my satire. Sorry if you don't like to be used for that
purpose, but someone's gotta' be sacrificed for the satire. If not,
satire would come to an end. You're a good subject for satire since you're
a fringe dweller, a fanatic, a believer in the offbeat, and you're a crazy
apologist for the Jews. Not to mention a hairy Green dwarf...
