ABSTRACT
The Academy of Scientific Astrology is based on astronomic principles
confirming to the IAU convention. The calculations are performed on
the HORIZONS integrator by Jon Giorgini of NASA JPL, Pasadena CA.

1. MOTIVATION
How is subconsciousness separated from consciousness when and why did
it happen? Is cognizance in charge? These questions poise a problem
for the initiate whether dabbling in ritual magick or preparing a
psychological platform. Scientific astrology gives the incipient
answer as based on fascinating data that were heretofore unknown to
the academic community.
2. PROBLEM
Our task was to separate the conscious from the subconscious
constellations by using several criteria. There are two distinct types
of constellations already in the primary analysis. The majority of the
ascendental constellationsa will prove to pertain to the subconscious
realm.
3. APPROACH
The ecliptic, equator and galax have been used as progressive
separators in order to determine racial initiation on planetary,
galactic and intergalactic level. The Egyptian initiates probably
worked along in similar progression.
4. RESULTS
Classifying the ascendants in subconscious and conscious classesb
greatly helps our understanding of the Academic Zodiac as well as
precession as planetary initiation. There is no doubt that a conscious
being regulates the ascendant set for the planet, changing it in
accordance with the requirement of the epochs.
5. DISCUSSION
The question is not whether we shall use the division of the
ascendental constellations into subconscious and conscious. The only
question is whether to progress according to secondary and tertiary
criteria, which we already did under firmly scientific constellations.
An apparently minor research on the Academic Zodiac always produces
deep cultural beach combing or deep diving for hidden treasures of the
subconscious realm. This edition contains abundant bonus material
about many subconscious ascendants.
a The Academic Zodiac consists of 22 IAU constellations while the
ascendant set for the present epoch counts 16 IAU constellations. The
two sets occasionally overlap but are not the same. Only the present
ascendant set has been scanned in this edition. The secret Egyptian
edition features ascendental constellations like Lepus or Cygnus.
