"Strifes will arise through the period. Watch for them near the Davis

Suicide bombers attack peacekeepers in Egypt
Associated Press
Wednesday April 26, 2006
Two suicide bombers today attacked the headquarters of a multinational
peacekeeping force in Egypt, injuring at least four people.
The bombers, who were on foot, detonated their devices just outside the
base in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula, just 10 miles south
of the Israeli border near Rafah.
The attack comes just two days after three bombs killed 24 people at
Egypt's Sinai resort of Dahab on the Gulf of Aqaba.

Today, Egyptian security officials said those injured at the base
included a New Zealander and a Norwegian attached to multinational
forces and two Egyptian police officers.
The base belongs to the Multinational Force and Observers, a
peacekeeping force set up as part of the 1979 peace treaty between
Israel and Egypt that led to Israel's withdrawal from the Sinai. It is
partially paid for by the US.
According to the group's website, the biggest contingent of troops is
from the US, and it has a large number of Canadians. The multinational
force also has a base in southern Sinai.
Police said they were investigating unconfirmed reports that one
suicide bomber attacked first and the second blast came as a crowd
gathered.
The Sinai - Egypt's desert peninsula that abuts Israel and separates
the Mediterranean from the Red Sea - has been wracked by a series of
Islamic extremist bombings in the last 18 months.
