While Sun in Orion is a normal phenomenon, Mercury is in Orion for an
exceptionally liong time this year. after that we have Venus in Hydra.

Mercury always hangs close to the Sun. Wherever you find the Sun, Mercury
will not be far off.

Impossible! The ecliptic doesn't even run through Orion or Hydra.
