I Guess the US isn't all that interested in a conflict with Syria.
Israel is the most likely buff that will want to show arms but I wonder if
they are able to sustain anything.
Iran is an allie of Syria and even though it does not have nuclear warheads
(yet?), it's missiles are able to reach Israel easily and accurate with
conventional warheads.
I bet Syria is going to call the bluff soon.
