Szeklers ask Hungary to support their autonomy
The Szeklers Council sent a letter to Hungarian Prime Minister
Gyurcsany Ferencz asking the government to help them get autonomy.
Szekler leader Csapo Jozsef said in the letter that the Romanian
authorities have continuously rejected their initiatives for autonomy.
The council members are asking the Hungarian government to act as a
"mother-country" and plead their cause in front of the United Nations
Defense Commission.
Szeklers also want the European Union to take notice of their wishes
and agree with the creation of a Szeklers Euro-region in Romania.
